Recently had a to this hospital. Ambulance took me here as it was closest to my home. I will never voluntarily go to this ER again. ER waiting area very small. My situation was fairly urgent so I moved to wheelchair quickly from ambulance, whilein waiting area someone rolled over my foot with another person in wheelchair! ER nurse had no idea how to care for my wounds… literally said loudly to many others “I don’t know what to do… so many injuries. She had me move glass from my own hand! ER doc had hospital badge hidden which I’m sure was against hospital policy and did a very sloppy job with stitches, meaning healing will take much longer. Also wound not treated with antibiotic non stick dressing (Bactigras) after being stitched (apparently should be standard of care) so wound bleeding caused dressings to stick and unable to remove some for weeks increasing chance of infection . Nurse cleaning wound also said she was “ out of saline” when she was going to bandage wound when site only partially cleaned. So unimpressed with this ER.

In December 2022 I had a small Operation at Mackenzie Health Hospital and was discharged the same day. I had not been to the Hospital for some years and was happy to note the improvements being made to the Hospital facilities, I found the Receptionists and Nurses all to be friendly and helpful. With regard to the Hospital itself, there were a lot of new building improvements taking place. What impressed me, was with all this happening, was the cleanliness, and refreshed look of the Hospital. Mackenzie Hospital gets 5 Stars from me. Phyllis K,

Mojgan Mottaghian How can such a sick minded woman be put in a position of abusive power over harmless broken depressed grief stricken suicidal patients? I won’t call her doctor because this isn’t about being a doctor. (only in the way of someone like this being granted that type of power). This is about a type of character. OMG. Calling her doctor insults all the good doctors. She and those like her degrade the profession of psychiatrists. (there are good ones). The fact though that these type continuously get away with their unacceptable abuse is something I never ever would have thought possible. And to know that you can be trapped in that abuse like that with them able to use any excuse/mislead to cover themselves and no one will question; Apparently the unacceptable is acceptable to too many. OMG the effect it had/is having on me. Unbelievable that it could happen. BE AWARE of this woman.

A frightening hospital to be in, especially for elderly patients. There are a handful of good doctors there, but the majority are not. The care and dignity that patients deserve is severely lacking. Emergency room, one of the Worst. Nightmarish would be an understatement.

Horrible place almost killed me. Presented with severe stomach pain and vomiting, nothing coming from the rear end just gas building up. Sent home with no xray, told I was constipated and treat for that. Next day I was almost dead and went to Mt Sinai where they immediately found my large intestine had twisted and was now necrotic. Big surgery, long bumpy recovery. Thank goodness I finally got to a good hospital

My family has gone there since I can remember. Here's our results: Husband had was having a stroke (I was there) and 5 nurses around him didn't have a clue what to do. Time ran out and his brain was damaged to much. They sent him home after 1 week and he died at home in our sons arms (14 years old), his dad had just turned 48. All we hear is time is of the essence when someone is having a stroke and here we are, in the hospital and no one knew what to do!!!A year ago I was very ill and was bleeding out of my rear end. After 5 days a specialist came (it was a Friday) and he told me to relax, try to eat a little and he would be back on Monday to make a plan for me to get well. I was happy to finally get some help. An hour later I was told I was being discharged by the floor Doctor and to hurry and get out of the room. I had no way home so they contacted Chats to help. I was put in a room (no bed to lay down on) for 5 hours, still sick as a dog and gave me a washroom that was really a storage room with dirty wash buckets and a toilet. They left the IV in my hand and I went to the nurse and said am I bringing this home with me? She scurried me to a room so no one could see and removed it. I should have kept quiet and went to another hospital to have it removed and then sue them. When Chats finally arrived to take me home the nurses station said I left hours ago. The Chats lady took it upon herself to look everywhere for me and finally saw me curled up in a chair and called my name. The next day I went by bus & subway(still very ill) to Mt. Sinai Hospital and got excellent care. About a week later the specialist office that saw me at Mackenzie Health left a phone message to call them to arrange an appointment. Disgraceful! I was already on my way to health thanks to Mt. Sinai. Oh also, in the mail was a Survey from Mt Sinai asking how was my care and what did Mackenzie Health send me? They want a donation from me. Disgraceful! My family will never go there ever again.

The worst service from nurses and doctors in emergency. Nurse didn’t know how to insert the IV and had to ask for help. The nurse told us the chief Medical doctor will be telling us what's the next step would be if any. No Doctor arrived at all instead the nurse was telling us what she thinks is wrong with my partner. They discharged her and didn't give us any results or solutions as to why we came here in the first place. I recommend you go to another hospital

Very dirty ER. Not sure what the cleaning staff do. As well, they employ ER docs with a record of hitting on/texting their young patients (pedophiles). Adam Seth Fogel. In the past they employed a well known and self proclaimed addict (Fentanyl) - Darryl Gebien. Digusting that they hire ER docs with a limited license.
