He is too old and over confident. He prescribed a very invasive type of x-ray that involved swallowing a thick contrast agent. When I obtained the report and consulted other doctors, I began to understand that his initial reasoning for this type of x-ray study, was unreasonable and unrelated to my illness. Years ago, he was charging patients $20 for a drop of anesthetic, which is very petty and was probably disallowed by RAMQ. He should definitely retire. He may have a lot of experience, but his medical acumen has gone down over the years. Maybe he does get some diagnoses and treatments right, but I think he can miss many things.

A despicable character and a condescending, insulting doctor. The same goes for the secretary. This doctor, obsessed with COVID-19, should retire and go live on a deserted island.

I was referred for a simple wax removal procedure from my ears. Since I had never had it done before I did not know what to expect. However I learned later that it is a relatively painless procedure using water and suction to dissolve and remove the wax. What happened to me was a nightmare from which I have not recovered. He shoved a sharp metal instrument deep into my dry ear and began digging. The pain was indescribable and despite my agonized screams he kept on shoving it deeper into my ear canal. He did this to both my ears even though the requisition from the audiologist only specified one. Both ears were bleeding when I left his office. They were still bleeding the next morning so I went to see my GP who told me there were lacerations to both my ear canals and injury to one eardrum. I subsequently developed an ear infection that required antibiotics for one week. I still suffer from pain, blocked ears and diminished hearing. This doctor is too old and incompetent to be practicing. Do not go to this doctor!

Been seeing Dr Rothstein for about a decade. He is passionate about his work & isn't happy until all rocks are unturned. Yes, he is extremely thorough in all aspects, including checking to make sure you haven't come into contact with COVID. It his right to protect himself & I respect his rules. I especially appreciate all that he has done for me. He is humble & old school, not afraid to admit, another opinion wouldn't hurt. I highly recommend him & we're blessed he still is working & takes on new patients to the this day. Doctors don't come around like him too often.

Useless Dr refused to see my 5 year old because he wanted a covid test but never told us to do so when making the appointment, he should retire and go live under a rock make room for real Dr please

The man literally shut the door on our faces, literally, because we had not put on our masks yet. We left.

This doctor is obsessing over covid 19 but at another level it was scary.

He was not helpful. He didn’t even let me in after I told him I had strep throat a month ago!!
