I am a Chinese senior. Dr. Sum has been my family doctor over twenty years. I have seen him for a variety health issues. His knowledge and profession are first class. His diagnoses are very accurate. He is an excellent and experienced doctor. Also he injects a flu shot without pain.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Edric Sum the last ten years and I have the highest regard for his professionalism and compassion. My octogenarian Mother is due for a full hip replacement next week and his attention to pain management, her comfort and the expedient clinical pre-operative process has been exemplary.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sum's for the past 11 years, and he is the most caring, genuine health care professional I have ever dealt with. I have had some health concerns that he diagnosed accurately and quickly, and I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone who needs a family physician.

Dr. Sum was my physician since I was born and recently I switched Doctor's not only because of him but because of his rude, disrespectful, uneducated receptionist, Betty. Due to an incorrect prescription, my father almost died with an asthma attack and due to his misdiagnosis, my grandmother almost died of a heart attack. Personally, I feel that he is not a doctor for helping and caring for others, he is just in it for the $$$! Stay away from him and his receptionist if you want to stay alive and healthy.

I agree with some of the comments. His secretary (Betty) is fine when you do not need her to do anything other than booking appointments. As far as Dr. Sum, I am so glad that I have switched my doctor. Because of him, not doing a proper pap smear test, right after I changed my family physician, the first time I did a pap smear with the new GP, he found that I have adenocarcinoma-in-situ in the cervix. My new GP kept on asking when was the last time I did my pap smear, I told him I do that every single year. I am so glad that I have dropped Dr. Sum and found this new doctor. And I also agree that he started to treat his practice as a business, I mean money-making business, no more passion for his patients.

Betty is a sweet women. I like Betty. I'm so happy that my family Dr.Sum is my family doctor. He's been my doctor for 27 years, from birth to now.

An excellent doctor who is more than willing to help you with your medical needs. Took the time to answer all of our questions regarding our newborn and even offered to call us back if we had any questions or concerns. Betty is a wonderful and friendly office administrator. For those who think other wise, perhaps it's response to your attitude towards her.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Sum for over 15 years and I have to disagree with the person that was complaining about his secretary. I feel that Betty makes you feel very comfortable. She is always pleasant to me and my family. What some people may not understand is that when your busy it's hard to be smiley faced all the time. Give credit where credit is due. She is very efficient and quite caring. What more do you want......???
