Staff if rude and aloof. The doc ordered inappropriate tests. Some treatment was somewhat helpful, if only for a short time.

My experience was incredible...went from 55-60% carotid stenosis to a fully negative stenosis after chelation. His alternative approach to medicine and healing is well appreciated, and he is truly committed to helping patients get well.

He was fabulous. He correctly diagnosed and had me feeling better in a very short time period. He carefully analyzed all blood results that included tests that most doctors don't even look at. All blood work was covered completely by insurance. The out-of-network 30% I had to pay was well worth it. The patients in his office ranged from arthritic, epstein barr, parkinsons, etc. etc. and they all swear by him. Before your doctor puts you on antidepressants (or whatever) I highly recommend a visit. It will change you life--for the BETTER!

This guy is awful! No matter what your medical problem is, he tells you to eat low carbs and it will cure everything. Both times I went to see him, I got the same speech. He doesn't listen....He does allergy testing on everyone and charges a fortune for it. I wasn't going to him for any allergy testing. All of the tests came up negative, so he kept injecting more and more into my arm so there would be a reaction. Never been through anything like it!

Didn't get the warm fuzzies. My fiance and I had back to back appointments the beginning of 2009. We both felt that we were part of the assembly line. We won't be returning.

I couldn't DISagree any more. I've been seeing Dr Calapai for over five years, he has provided both myself and my family with the utmost care and has gone to great legnths to ensure my health concerns were addressed and got me back to the healthy state I was before I was diagnosed with Parkinsons. I had no trouble being reimbursed by my insurance company for the majority of our visits, however, not all visits were covered. The treatment was well worth the money that we did have to pay out of pocket. There is no price on health care that turns your life around completely.

The worst Doctor ever. I visited Dr. Calapai 10 years ago. At that time, he was spreading the word of Dr. Atkins. Anything that was wrong with you had to do with eating carbs in your diet. Allergy testing, the heidelberg, vitamin c drips, etc.... everything from a to z and ofcourse he did not take insurance!!! Now years later, as a professional, I was reintroduced to his crooked ways. He is now a DAN (Defeat Autism Now), doctor, who claims to help children with ASD. Unfortunately, he still does not listen to his patients, makes them go through all types of testing and sends them off with bills of $600 or more. It seems that he just rides the wave of the newest trend. 10 years ago it was all about the low carb diet craze and now ASD. When dealing with children and families affected by ASD you need to be kind, and compassionate. In my experiences with Dr. Calapai, he has never been kind or compassionate. He cares more about money than about helping a child. Shame on him.

One of the worst experience of my life. 45 minutes late, that's fine lot's of doctors are late. We are then met by the doctor who couldn't care about our son or us. He was more salesman than doctor. A total kook. Don't waste your time or money.
