Your local health authority can point you in the right direction, which could be a pharmacy…or Disneyland.
People living in the US and elsewhere are being vaccinated against the coronavirus by the millions. Providing a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, experts estimate there will be enough coronavirus vaccines present in the country by the end of July 2021 to offer a shot to every American who wants to have one. Each state has its own system of vaccination in place, of course, and it remains difficult to predict when all Americans who wish to be vaccinated, will be. While it has been easy for some people to get the vaccine, it’s not such a straightforward process for all. How can you get a coronavirus vaccine? Here’s a look at some tips.
Call Your Doctor
One of the best strategies in getting a vaccine is always to call your doctor. They can inform you of the situation in your area, and get you in line for an appointment, if they have access to the vaccine. Alternatively, they can point you in the direction of vaccination locations nearest you, if they do not.
Try Target, Walmart, Publix, CVS, Rite Aid, Kroger and Walgreens
Each of these stores have pharmacies, and are said to be administering coronavirus vaccines from them. Call your local store to see when you can set up an appointment.
Check Out Select Other Pharmacies
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC), other select pharmacies throughout the country are participating in the vaccine rollout. Check the Center’s site to see if one is near you.

Contact Your Local Hospital or Medical Clinic
Your local hospital, medical clinic, or public health department will have information on where it is best to go for you to receive your vaccine. These health authorities can also provide information in your area regarding your current eligibility for the coronavirus vaccine and if you can receive it now or will need to wait.
Look to Your Nearby NFL Stadium
Yes, the National Football League is doing its part. They want you back in the stands, healthy! In some states, school gymnasiums and NFL football stadiums are being transformed into vaccination sites for the coronavirus vaccine. Check with your local health authorities.
Disneyland
If you live in or near Orange County, California, it can be good to know the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim is set up as a vaccine supersite. Only those eligible for the vaccine can receive one at any given time and the site is being run in accordance with state guidelines.
It is the hope that before the end of 2021, all adults in both the US and Canada who wish to receive a coronavirus vaccine will have had the chance to do so. The safety of vaccinating children against the coronavirus is still being studied in clinical trials, and has started in children as young as twelve at the time of this writing.
A safer end to the pandemic relies on confidence in coronavirus vaccines, and the willingness of the general public to receive them.
