Biography

Dr. Zishan Hashmi is an Interventional Pain Management physician who is board-certified in both Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He has extensive experience performing minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat various types of chronic pain, with the goal of improving patients’ quality of life and reducing their reliance on medication. Dr. Hashmi earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the State University of New York in Buffalo, New York. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and completed his Anesthesiology Residency at Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the State University of New York in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Hashmi completed his Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Hashmi cares for patients at the Highlands Campus. Describe your clinical specialties. I specialize in using minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat various types of chronic pain, with the goal of improving patients' quality of life and reducing their reliance on medication. These minimally invasive procedures include a range of techniques and procedures, such as nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulation, and other cutting-edge treatments designed to target pain. What is your patient care philosophy? My patient care philosophy involves a multifaceted approach to managing chronic pain. I prioritize treating each patient as an individual and taking a holistic approach to their care, which includes not only their physical pain, but also their emotional and psychological well-being. As an interventional pain specialist, I want people to know that I am dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to those struggling with chronic pain. I have a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in interventional pain management and using cutting-edge techniques to help my patients achieve relief. What do you enjoy most about working with patients? As an interventional pain specialist, I enjoy working with patients because it allows me to make a positive impact on their lives by providing relief from chronic pain. I find it rewarding to help patients improve their quality of life and regain function, independence, and mobility. I enjoy the challenge of diagnosing complex pain conditions and developing personalized treatment plans that address each of the patient’s needs. How does your work improve lives? My work improves lives in several ways. By using minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat chronic pain conditions, I can help patients achieve significant relief from their symptoms. This can lead to improvements in their quality of life, allowing them to regain function, and participate in activities they may have been unable to do before. What are some interesting facts about you? I enjoy traveling, exercising, and I am an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Would you like to share about your family? I enjoy spending time with my wife, exploring different restaurants, and traveling.
