He has a very good bedside manner, and called me at home the day after surgery to see how I was feeling. I felt like he truly cared about my well being. His assistant Rose, is always helpful and courteous.

Dr. Tu removed a 9mm kidney stone for me in July in Oshawa. Prior to surgery he called and told me about the procedure and what to expect. I found him to be very caring and listened to my concerns and answered all questions. He followed up a month after surgery with an ultrasound and called to say everything was fine. He also had a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend him. Five stars all the way.

He does not care for his patients. He is working like a Plummer not a doctor.

I required a cystoscopy. Dr Tu was comforting and compassionate which is why I chose him amongst the other Dr's recommended to me at other hospitals. I was dreading the procedure and put it off for months but eventually decided it was better to get it done. The procedure was 'relatively' painless - the gel going in hurts for 2 seconds max, then there is freezing that kicks in. I found the procedure to be rushed and had imaged into would be a slow lengthy process, kind of like an ultrasound. The entire procedure was done in like 5 minutes and I believe they "rush" through it as it's a very 'private' event and the faster its done the better. There were 2 female nurses in the room with us (I am a male), but they they were also very nice and made me feel comfortable and the one nurse seemed to be a student, but the main nurse was talking to me the entire time and it made the time fly by. I had burning sensation after the procedure for 30 minutes and constantly had urine and numbing gel/lube coming out periodically so I had to wait in the washroom and force myself to pee before leaving the hospital. By night I was fine and nothing hurt, no bleeding or anything. Dr Tu is a great Dr and I would easily go to him again if I needed to. The entire experience was much better than I had imagined and stressed over for months. Dr Tu saw me within 1 month where other Dr's had a waiting list just to talk to them for 4-5 months.

I will say this though...the receptionist that calls you and schedules his appointments is terrible. As a business owner as well as a downtown corporate professional, her "speed talking" is appalling. You can tell she does not care and just wants to rush you off the call - she provides no preparation instructions, nothing came in the mail, and while her spoken language is clear, I don't find her professional at all. Comes off as a "I'm too busy to talk to you" attitude and like she's better than you. Receptionist needs to slow down, take your time when speaking with patients, you're not that busy and a little compassion goes a long way.

Dr Tu in my books gets 5/5 stars and the hospital staff at SouthLake assisting him were 5/5 as well. He's a great Dr in my books and I would recommend him to anyone. His receptionist deserves 1/5 and should be fired.

I have been most impressed with the clear communication that Dr. Tu has provided prior to surgery, and during follow up visits to the office and hospital. I have a great deal of confidence in his level of expertise. Natalie has also provided excellent communication on behalf of Dr. Vincent Tu.

I saw one rating commenting about the numerous unanswered calls. He scheduled a cystoscopy for me very quickly and was painless. He called me within 1 week of the referral being sent by my family doctor. This is amazing for a specialist! Highly recommended. There's a pandemic upon us, people need to be more understanding!
