Went in to try contact lenses for the first time, and I really wasn't sure whether I'd be able to get them in. Dr Irvine was very patient and gave very clear instructions in teaching me how to put them in. And I love them! So great to not have glasses anymore.

Went for a routine eye exam. Staff was friendly and organized; knew their work. Dr. Irvine was very thorough, and took his time both in the examination and with his explanations. Seems like a nice person, too. Solid experience.

Dr. Irvine has been our family optometrist since we moved to the island 3 years ago. We do not live in Victoria but feel it is worth the trip. His office hours accommodate our work/school schedules and we complete exams for the entire family in one visit. Our appointments have always started on time and run efficiently. He is patient and kind, especially with my children (both under the age of 10 and special needs). We never feel rushed and he listens carefully to all eye issues we are experiencing at the time. All procedures are explained prior to performing and the exams are comprehensive. He has identified and helped to resolve serious eye issues involving my youngest child as well as my spouse. Pricing is reasonable and the staff at the front desk are always courteous and helpful in answering questions about additional services and insurance billing.
