November 11 2020, was my second back surgery with Dr Patel. He is a very skilled surgeon that I trust implicitly!! Wouldn’t have any other physician touch my back.

Met Dr Patel early 2020 from a recommendation of my back doctor. He said he was the “best”. I agree completely. I was walking bent over and in severe pain. My quality of life had declined. He said he could “fix “ me. He did and I am thrilled. No more pain meds, walk straighter and able to do things without the horrible pain. He even gave me two inches of the height I lost back! Thank you so much Dr Patel for giving me my life back!!!!

I had 2 previous spine surgeries by another surgeon at a different hospital. After each I was nauseated and the pain was extreme for several days. I was in the hospital for well over a week each time and was sent to a skilled nursing facility after the 1st surgery. Both experiences were like a nightmare.

By the time I saw Dr. Patel I was bent so far forward that I had balance as well as pain issues and I couldn't stand without support. The revision surgery Dr. Patel did to fix my spine was more complicated and longer than the 2 previous surgeries. Everything went so much better. After surgery I was nauseated for about 12 hours and the pain was so much less than I had expected. The nurses had me up the day after surgery to use the bathroom and had me start walking for exercise. I had the surgery on Wednesday and by Saturday I felt ready to go home. If not for a still leaking drain I could have. On Sunday I was discharged. I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling. My spine was straight and I felt great. It's been several months and my spine is still straight. I don't have words enough to explain how grateful I am, I feel like I got my life back. Dr. Patel is the best.

I was very disabled by chronic pain due to my spondylesthesis. I had had previous surgery at another facility by a different surgeon. After 4 years had passed I was once again in near continuous pain. I returned to my original surgeon. I am myself a nurse and I had brought another nurse with me to be able to listen carefully and we were both of the opinion that the first surgeon was not willing to do surgery on me.
I was very discouraged and expressed the opinion that if I had to continue like this, I did not wish to live a long life. My youngest daughter was upset to hear me say this, so she researched and found Dr. Patel.
When we made contact, I waqs given orders for various diagnostic tests prior to seeing Dr. Patel. When I met him, he took time to talk with me about my tests and the fact that I indeed had lots wrong in my back, but impressed me with his simple statement, "I think that most of your pain is coming from one level, and I can help you."
He did indeed help me. I no longer have numbness and tingling in my legs and my pain level is greatly reduced.

Dr. Patel and his entire team were fantastic. My surgery went smoothly, they were very attentive in the hospital, and were very available afterwards for questions. I am back on my feet, and for that I am very grateful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Extremely grateful for Dr. Patel!! He answered every question I had, he truly listened to me and cared about how I understood and perceived my care. But the most amazing thing to me was when I was admitted to ER, 2 months after my surgery for an issue completely unrelated to his work, he sent an associate to check on me and that associate was by my side within 20 minutes from arriving. How many doctors do you know that care enough to make sure they are doing everything they can to help you, even in the short time after they have done what they could for you. HE CARES!!!!

Dr. Rakesh Patel was excellent in every phase of my back surgery -- pre-op disccussions; the surgery; post-op visits while I was in the hospital; and follow-up post-op appointment 4 weeks after my surgery. Everything happened as he explained; and I am recovering nicely. Thank you to Dr. Patel and his entire team!!!
