I find the entire Howard Mutual Medical Centre to be efficient, thorough, welcoming, and on the ball. Among other matters, her nursing staff and her Nurse Practitioners are skilled and show their pride and satisfaction in working for this facility.

Can't get past receptionist's as they triague you with no medical license to do so.. they then book you only if they feel the need to..!!
The Dr. only works when the dr. is available.. Not available when needed.. Then you get a 6 wk. Appt.
Very unsatisfied w this clinic etc. !!

I find Dr Simmons to be a decent Dr. I never have a problem getting an appointment with her, or with getting any referrals with specialists, or the additional tests that I have needed. I feel she listens to what I have had to say, while giving her opinions on possible course of action/teatment. She has discussed my options and let me make my own decision on what treatment option I wss comfortable with. She is not overly "friendly" or "chatty"(shes not there to be my friend) but I do find her to be professional and direct. Mind you, I am a fairly healthy person, and generally only "visit" her or any Dr approx 3-4 times a year. She has been my Dr since she took over this practice, and so far I do not have any complaints with her care for my family or myself.

She’s American and it shows. Rude. Condescending. Just plain awful. Wouldn’t be so bad if she was good at her job but, when she bothers to show up, you’ll wish she hadn’t.

The staff at the medical centre are rude and condescending. Dr Simmons is ok but don’t cross her. She has been somewhat helpful - that’s when she decides to work. It strikes me funny why people get into this type of profession if they are not good with people.

Dr. Simmons is beyond useless. It's hard to imagine someone who knows so little about medicine being given license to practice, but here she is. She's very rarely at the office, which is both annoying and wonderful seeing as one is then able to see the nurse practitioner, who is absolutely spot on. Her ego is enormous, and she's very clearly got the doctor god complex. She's write you all the scripts that you want, but if you have an actual problem she won't refer, and if you do get a referral, miraculously, her office drags their feet in trying to get an appointment in a timely manner. Twice now I've had to phone her office, see who they're referring to, call that office myself and make my own appointment, both times the referral never having heard of me, and then the referring office doing the work to get my records. Nurses and other doctors to whom I've spoken know of her well and are often left incredulous by her behaviour, and they've seen it all. It's difficult to say don't seek her out at a GP because, as stated, her nurse practitioner is amazing and her receptionists are very good. She's got great people around her she, however, is terrible at her job, and that's at best.
