Biography

Dr. Paul Fawson is an experienced podiatrist who joined the Podiatry Associates, P.C. family in 2015. He is passionate about living an active life and helping his patients get back on their feet as quickly as possible so they can enjoy theirs. His goal is to help patients do what they love without foot pain getting in the way. Education Dr. Paul Fawson graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in exercise science. He also had a minor in business management. After undergrad studies, he moved on to earn his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida. He completed his residency and surgical training at the Salt Lake City VA Hospital, the University of Utah, and the Intermountain Healthcare system. There he trained with multiple podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons from around the northern Utah area. This experience exposed him to a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions and their many conservative and surgical treatments. Specialties As a fully qualified podiatrist, Dr. Fawson is able to treat a multitude of foot and ankle concerns. He loves working with children and strives to make their time in the office as comfortable as possible. His surgery experience and certification allows him to complete various reconstructive foot and ankle procedures, particularly for bunions, hammertoes, extreme flat feet, arthritis, and joint pain. As an active man and athlete himself, he is also passionate about sports-related injuries to the lower limbs, including sprains, fractures, and various tendon issues. His medical experience makes him an expert in areas of diabetic foot care as well. This includes both wound care and limb-salvage surgery to avoid amputations. More about Dr. Fawson: Raised in the San Francisco Bay area of Northern California, Dr. Fawson actually took two years in between graduating high school and starting college. During that time, he performed mission work in the Philippines. While living and serving there, he become fluent in Tagalog, the Philippine national language. Dr. Fawson is married with four children. His whole family loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking and camping. They also love making time to hit up amusement parks! Dr. Fawson himself is an athlete, playing basketball when he can. He’s also an avid golfer and competes in long drive golf events. In his free time, he helps coach his children’s sports teams. He also likes to use his free time to work with his hands—he plays musical instruments and enjoys building things, whether they’re electronic or general construction projects.
