Dr. Secter cared for me during 2 of my pregnancies, which both delivered by C-section. He provided exceptional and thoughtful care throughout my pregnancies - and both deliveries were perfect. It is clear that he is exceptionally talented from a technical perspective, but also has a wonderful bedside manner. He really cares about his patients.

Dr. Secter was filling in for my usual ObGyn today. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with a history of recurrent pregnancy losses (4 consecutive miscarriages within 2 years). Dr. Secter was so kind during our appointment. He had read over my clinical history and remarked on what a difficult fertility journey it has been for me. He further said how happy he was for me that I’m pregnant and how he’s amazed by my resilience to keep going. I started tearing up in our appointment and am tearing up now just writing this. The care and compassion he showed towards me was so wonderful. I told him I am a nervous pregnant person, and he assured me I had every right to be so. I have found that some doctors treat history of miscarriage so clinically and almost dismissively. This was not the case at all with Dr. Secter – he made me feel cared for and understood. Dr. Secter is a fantastic doctor and anyone would be lucky to be his patient.

I’m so thankful for Dr Secter. I was diagnosed with a large fibroid and he was the first doctor to acknowledge the impact it had on my fertility. I was so scared of having a myomectomy but Dr Secter is so knowledgeable and has an amazing ability to calm you down. He listened to my concerns calmly and addressed each of my questions. On the day on my surgery (Dec 2023) I was super nervous, but he took the time to explain clearly what was going to happen and what to expect. He supported me throughout the whole process and came to see me twice while I was at the hospital for 1 day. You can see he loves what he does! He’s such a caring, supportive and competent doctor. He’s truly a gem and I’m thankful I was referred to him. He’s the best doctor I had to this day.

Where do I begin. In life God blesses you with people he knows will showcase his amazing power. Dr Secter is an angel here on earth and God has given him an amazing gift and I am so blessed to have been his patient. He performed a fibroid removal after my miscarriage in 2019. Then after a failed invitro in 2022 we got pregnant in that same year. When my family Dr asked which Dr in calgary I would like to follow up with I asked for a referral to see Dr. Secter. He told me after my surgery that when I do get pregnant to come see him. Words truly cannot express the gratitude that I have for him. When the day came to have my little girl, he was there for me, changing his schedule and getting everyone he needed there. We welcomed my miracle baby in July. Dr Sector and I had spoken about a hysterectomy which was done after the birth of my baby. He made sure everything went smoothly. Women in calgary who have had him as a Dr is lucky. And on behalf of all women I give him his flowers! I keep him in my prayers that God continue to bless and protect him as we need more doctors like him who are as passionate. From the bottom of heart I say thank you for being part of my journey and for it to come to circle.

Dr sector helped me get diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis after 8 years of fighting. I went in expecting the usual nothing is wrong with you and you have bad periods. He immediately told me I need surgery and he believes I had it. I felt fully trusted in his hands and 7 days post op I feel amazing but still swollen. A best in the city doctor.

Dr Secter to me is the best OBGYN in Calgary.

After multiple tubal pregnancies, I was referred to him. He was in charge of my care since that referral. I was advised to do a surgery and was really skeptical about young doctors and their expertise but my surgery with him was seamless, I healed fast, he continued following me up. I had endometriosis and God used him to perform that surgery. Surgery was in July and it was successful .September last year I conceived and it was not tubal. I also had gestational hypertension after that but he monitored and deliberate about my care. My beautiful baby girl was delivered by him aMay 2024.

He’s intentional about his patients and gives the best care.
I can’t sing his praises enough.

Dr. Sector has been the most incredible doctor I’ve ever seen. He took the time to listen to me and believe me. He is extremely empathetic and caring. I can’t say enough good things about him. From the day I met him, to the pep talk he gave me before going in for my surgery, he is incredible.

Dr. Secter has been a blessing in my life. God answered my prayers when he became part of my medical team. At that first appointment, Dr. Secter confirmed that I had stage 4 rectal endometriosis. And as scary as that was, it was also a huge relief. The surgery options did include a possible bowel resection which left me in shock. Dr. Secter could tell I was overwhelmed and reviewed every option for treatment and made his recommendation as it pertained to my specific case and situation. He reassured me and supported me at every step of the way as I waited for surgery. On the day of surgery, I was more grateful than I was nervous. Dr. Secter and his medical team put me completely at ease. The surgery went great and Dr. Secter ensured that he checked on me before being off shift despite me still be quite drowsy from anesthetic. I did get admitted over night as I could not urinate prior to day surgery closing. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience once I was transferred to the gyne unit and didn't sleep at all as a result. I can't even say how meaningful it was for me to see Dr. Secter that next morning. He was crushed by the news of how my night had gone. Dr. Secter made me feel heard and validated in a time of great vulnerability. I will never forget that. I'm now 10 months post total hysterectomy and excision of all endometriosis lesions (no bowel resection!). The recovery has been slow and long as it was quite an extensive surgery but I do finally feel like I have my life back and I owe that to Dr. Secter! I truly do not know how to thank him enough. Every time I visit his office, I feel heard and understood and I leave with the answers and knowledge that I need. Dr. Secter is truly passionate and invested in what he does. He makes it a priority to improve the quality of life for anyone suffering with endometriosis. Thank you for improving my quality of life so I can be the mom and wife my family need me to be Dr. Secter!
