Biography

Dr. Laura L. Russo was first inspired to pursue the chiropractic profession at a young age when she injured her neck during gymnastics class. Her parents then took her to a chiropractor to be adjusted. After a series of chiropractic treatments, the pinched nerve in Dr. Russo's neck was fully recovered. The immediate relief and benefits she received from the chiropractor encouraged her to pursue her career in Chiropractic, and she later received her Bachelor of Science degree from Fredonia State University in 2001, followed by her Doctoral degree from NYCC, New York Chiropractic College, in 2005. Dr. Russo is also certified in the Webster Technique and has a special certification educated by the ICPA- International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. The Webster Technique focuses on the location of the sacrum or tailbone and the two pelvic bones that make up the pelvic brim. Proper alignment and balance to the pelvic bones and the associated muscles and ligaments that support the uterus is paramount for the expansion and stretching of the pelvis to allow for the proper head-down positioning of the baby prior to delivery!! This technique is proven to prevent the necessity of caesarian sections (C-section) and encourages a vaginal birth . The Webster Technique can also be utilized when the pregnant mother is having pain or difficulties during the pregnancy and is experiencing pregnancy related back pain or discomfort, even sciatica! Dr. Russo aids the pregnant mother during the entire pregnancy and all allows for safe drug-free methods of pain relief and ease of delivery by taking care of the physical, emotional, and chemical stresses being placed on the expecting mother and baby. Dr. Russo is very family oriented and has a family practice centered on health and wellness . She treats patients of all ages including children and has been adjusting her daughter since the day she was born.
