I had visited Dr. Ostro to see if I had lymphoma. She proceeded to tell me it isn’t lymphoma but failed to say or even explain what my case was. She asked if I knew what Desmoid Fibromatosis was (obviously I don’t know what it is) and without evening mentioning that it’s a TUMOUR, she goes on to to say that I need to wait for another doctor to see me. I still am confused as to why she couldn’t cut straight to the chase and tell me I have a tumour, but she’d rather lie and say that it isn’t anything to worry about (because as long as it’s not cancer there’s no danger!!!)

My mother passed away from gastric cancer and was initially referred to Dr. Ostro. We spent 2 full months waiting for her to come up with a diagnosis and ultimately nothing got done until we pushed consistently. She seemed irritated whenever additional questions were asked and once it was determined that this wasn't her specialty, she was thrilled to drop off. She talks to you almost condescendingly and doesn't make you feel comfortable. The only positive thing I have to say is about her nurse Laura.

Dr Ostro has expertly navigated my diagnosis and treatment for an incurable form of lymphoma over the past 3 years including proactive coordination with PMH for the stem cell transplant and radiation treatments. She is forthright in her communication of concerns and very receptive to mine. Excellent technique with bone marrow taps. Her knowledge is up to the minute current and she demonstrates great energy for her patients. So happy to have Dr Ostro on my team.

I met Dr. Ostro recently and was impressed by her punctuality, knowledge and empathy. She was not in a rush to finish the meeting and spent over 20 mins with me
Her office is run by Amina who is the admin assistant. Amina is a very helpful and compassionate lady
Though I had to wait 6 months to get an appointment I felt that it was worth the wait
