My father was referred to Dr. Chiarotto last year. He was very sick. We were seen right away. I came for every appointment. My bother was there for the treatments. My father is alive and cancer free because of Dr. Chiarotto and his team. I only wish my mom could have had him as her doctor too. Thank you doctor for giving us our dad back. We are forever grateful.

My 72 year old father was referred to Dr Chiarotto to diagnose and treat his cancer. Dr Chiarotto said he didn't feel treatment was worthwhile and said that his quality of life was his priority. I truly believe he said this due to his age and if he had been younger he would have offered him treatment options; which he has a duty to provide. We insisted on a referral for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Chiarotto was arrogant and said we would not hear anything different than what he was telling us. Upon getting our 2nd opinion not only is my dad now receiving his chemo treatment, he has a hopeful prognosis. In fact, Dr. Chiarotto misdiagnosed the type of cancer my dad had!
I'm sure that Dr Chiarotto has patients he has successfully treated but that was not our experience. I felt Dr. Chiarotto was arrogant and did not do his due diligence for my dad, and it could have cost him his life. Dr. Chiarotto was not going to treat his cancer and was essentially waiting for him to get more sick and manage his pain.
If you are not comfortable with your Doctor please get a 2nd opinion! Any good Doctor would happily refer you to ensure you get the best medical care possible, as you should.

I have interacted with Dr. Chiarotto in person and in the telephone. He is knowledgeable, kind and takes his time with me. He always asks if my family and I have any questions. I would recommend him to anyone in my family or friends.

Very nice and knowledgeable. Both Jennifer and Anita who comprise his team are kind. Greeting patients by name and making them feel like a person, as opposed to a cancer patient. Would highly recommend this Dr.

Dr. Chiarotto is a very pleasant, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. He explained my illness and treatment options very clearly so that it was all easily understood. He answered all my questions and I felt very confident being under his care. He is a lovely man and I would highly recommend him to others.

I was a patient of Dr. Chiarotto for ten years. I cannot say enough good things about him. He treated me like an actual person and took the time to explain my treatments and aftercare in depth, and did not rush through our appointments even though he has a lot of patients to see. I would highly recommend Dr. Chiarotto in every way!

In December 2009, I had a severe relapse with CLL. Dr. Chiarotto advised me to go home and wrap up my affairs. He gave me 4 months and basically wrote me off! Thanks to Sandy, one of the nurses in the blood clinic, I was admitted to the hospital and spent Christmas in intensive care. In February of 2010, I transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital in downtown Toronto. By the end of 2010, I had fully recovered and I have been in remission ever since. Dr. Chiarotto left me for dead. Your own results may vary but I wouldn't recommend this guy to my worst enemy!
