I will only say that I made the worst decision with this doctor since she is not interested in the patient, she does not even bother to know about your problems, she did a hysterectomy and never gave me another option, then in my consultation with her I decide I won't come back very bad dra

When I was first diagnosed with fibroids, my research led me to Dr. Banks. After a couple years of the "watchful wait" approach, my fibroids had increased in size and were presenting more symptoms. I went back to Dr. Banks and told her that I wanted a myomectomy. She told me that she could perform a quick hysterectomy and that I should look on the bright side, as I'd be able to "buy smaller pants"!!!! She also informed me that it would take "hours and hours" to remove my (6 or 7 identified at the time) fibroids, while the hysterectomy would be quick. I guess all that mattered to her was expediency FOR HER, even though she knew that I was interested in preserving my fertility. Bottom line: She was insensitive and gave me bad advice. I walked out of her office knowing I'd never return. With a little more research, I found an excellent, compassionate surgeon who removed my TWENTY fibroids through a tiny bikini-cut incision. And it didn't take "hours and hours". Edited to add: A month ago I gave birth to a healthy baby girl, after an uneventful and complication-free pregnancy.
