Unprofessional, she is a merchant doctor, not a good dermatologist. She only want to charge you money. She told me to remove a mole after perform a biopsy she said it was not good results. She left me a horrible scar I still suffer from it. She told me told that was my skin that healed like that which I didn’t believe her because I had other surgeries and you can even see where they were. I will add she behaved exacerbate, and rude some times.

On July 19 of this year, my 18 year old daughter went to see Dr. Delilah Alonso for the first time because her dermatologist was booked and had no appointments. She was concerned about a pink spot on her nose that appeared in March. She was seen by the doctor herself, not the PA. She spent a rushed amount of time with her. She pointed out her concern to her and her diagnosis was acne vulgaris. She prescribed Ximino and Aczone for her face. She squeezed it and mentioned that it was now irritated and recommended she return for a chemical peel. She tried to get her to buy some products from her office that cost around $300. Since she is only 18 she called me and I told her to hold off on the products and the chemical peel. In August, she went away to college and this month she followed up with a dermatologist in New Orleans because the pink spot would not go away. She right away suggested doing a biopsy. Last week I was called and told that she has Basal Cell Carcinoma and she needs to have surgery. In other words, Dr. Alonso MISDIAGNOSED my daughter. Dr. Alonso charged BCBS $462 for her consult and I was responsible for $131 out of my pocket. I called Dr Alonso and spoke with the PA. She was extremely apologetic and compassionate when she spoke to me. Unfortunately, when I spoke with Dr. Alonso she was the total opposite. She was arrogant and defensive. She targeted me and my daughter by stating "IF SHE WAS SO CONCERNED ABOUT THE SPOT WHY DIDNT SHE OR I ASK HER TO DO A BIOPSY" I told her because we did not go to medical school! I requested my out of pocket of $131 be returned. Dr. Alonso had her payroll department call me to advise that she would not refund any money. I would never recommend Dr. Delilah Alonso to anyone and I am notifying BCBS to advise them of what happened. I have never written a review like this in my life but I felt I needed to warn others due to my horrible experience.

This place is scam. I went on December 2016. I was seen by a Nurse Practitioner, no big deal. She prescribed me a cream and some pills (allergies). At the front desk, the receptionist was pushing to buy products, and also wanted to book a follow up appointment for January 2017. I decline to buy products, and told her to add the appointment and request a reminder. Well, I never got a reminder, didn’t have any medical reason to be seen by a doctor so went about my life. Late January I received a bill for $90.00 because I didn’t show to the appointment! I called their billing department and told them that I never received a follow up call and I was not going to pay $90. 00 and ask for lower “penalty fee”. In response I got another bill this month, for $90.00 and for the co-payment I already paid. do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. These people should be ashamed of themselves, how they can call themselves medical professionals? Scamming patients for short term income.

I never write bad reviews because I don't believe in doing harm to anyone. But not alerting others of this dermatologist, Dr. Alonso, her staff, her billing standards and the overall experience, would be doing a disservice to people who are in serious need of a professional that will treat them with respect. I've visited many physicians and specialists and I had never witnessed this level of poor service until I started going to Dr. Alonso's office. I will never return to take my children to this doctor. She is in and out, if she is even available, in a rush and very impersonal and loud. But worst of all, what I believe is absolutely inexcusable, is her straight up rudeness. Most of the time you're being treated by her PA (physicians assistant) not her. It was the physician assistant not Dr. Alonso that administered biopsies to both of my children. My daughter was left with a pretty big scar on her abdomen from the removal of a tiny mole. My son's biopsy was sent to a lab and I was never informed that the lab was going to charge me as well as my insurance an additional fee for an in-house procedure. I paid a co-payment of $70 and along with the exaggerated amount that was billed to my insurance, I'm now being billed an extra $174.00 for lab tests. I called my insurance carrier and filed a complaint and opened a claim due to unauthorized charges. When I called my insurance carrier I was informed that as of 2015 my co-payment was $50 not $70. Nevertheless Dr. Alonso charged me $70 co-pay each visit for each, my son and my daughter. I was told each time that the co-pay was $70 and was never refunded the overcharge, being that these visits were over 4 months ago. In my opinion, it is dishonest, unprofessional and unethical. From my personal experience, Dr. Alonso's cares only about one thing... how much money she can make. She uses tactics such as; influencing patients into buying expensive products they do not even need and that can easily be obtained at Amazon for less than 1/2 the price she charges and she administers biopsies on perfectly healthy moles for her personal income. After reading some of the reviews (year after year), it is incredible how most patients share the same or similar experiences yet nothing changes and patients' opinions are overlooked and ignored. That just goes to shows the type of person you will be dealing with. I too, will never return or recommend anyone to her office. To sum up my review I will share what a previous reviewer said... "Dr. Alonso is the personification of a business women, not a health provider!"

I first learned about Dr. Alonso on a recent article posted on a FB. I called her office and was transferred to Giana and not only was she able to answer all of my cosmetics questions but she took the time to instruct me in what to do and not to do so that I wouldn't bruise if I was going to get fillers. I loved Dr. Alonso and because I followed Giana's instructions I didn't bruise and I look great!

Do not go to this doctor!!! All her ratings are bought, she gives anyone a discount in products if they rate her good! She has no professional manners as a Certified Dermatologist. She makes her patients wait an hour to see her to then only be seen and have only two minutes with her in the room. She talks so fast and does not explain anything to her patients. Beware of this doctor who only cares about charging your insurance for money and biopsy your perfectly healthy mole for her personal income. She is a horrible, unprofessional doctor, I will never return or send anyone I know to your office. You will feel pressured to purchase ridiculously expensive products you do not even need. This doctor is the epitome of a business women, not a health provider!
