My wife’s fingers stocked in the industrial sewing machine and two of her fingers hurt very serious. Dr Gendron did surgery and fixed both of her finger. We are very happy for that and really appreciate him. He is very kind and helpful.

Dr. Gendron has been amazing start to finish! He performed surgery on my 7 year old son and I was obviously quite nervous about it all. He was so thorough and put my mind at ease. Before the surgery he met with my husband and I to answer any questions we might have. He met with me in the pre-op room, walked me out the family waiting area and once again, made me feel so good about everything. Once the surgery was finished, he came to see my son twice to check on him. My son also had another surgery with a different surgeon last summer and it was a totally different experience (not a good one). 100% recommend, what an amazing physician!

Broke my fifth metacarpal (known as a boxers break)
Dr Gendron handled the surgery and as I was leaving for a planned holiday 9 days after surgery he made sure to relay the info to occupational therapy at the Royal university Hospital so that I had the proper cast done up in time (the lovely ladies made it for me while I waited) for me to leave. Cast was made the day before I was to leave so was very thankful!!
At any rate Dr Gendron was very professional and the surgery was successful and at the follow up appointments he made me feel like I was his only patient although the waiting room was filled with patients wearing the same type casts as me. I give Dr Gendron a 5 ⭐️ rating.

I cut the end off my left little finger with a gas hedge trimmer at noon on October 15th, 2019. My wife took me to St. Paul's Hospital where I was seen by several hospital people. After a couple hours, my finger end was stitched back on by a Resident Dr. I was booked for surgery the following morning, as there was prep work to fix the finger nail bed and a K-wire to be installed to allow the bone to reconnect. I was given bad information by a Pharmicist, so my surgery had to be postpones until mid-afternoon, as I had taken a cracker with some antibiotics. Dr. Gendron became the surgeon who would do my surgery. He came in with a Anesthesiologist and they both explained the process of my surgery. I still wasn't confident that I would be keeping the end of my finger, but they comforted me that this was going to be OK. I was taken to the surgery ward and seen all the faces of the surgery staff. There were more people than I was expecting. They confirmed I was the proper patient and what the surgery was and then I was put under. I woke up later and was given my discharge instructions. Dr. Gendron took the time to run downstairs and get me booked into the Occupational Therapy group, so I was seen before I left the hospital. After several follow - up visits to his downtown office, I always felt he was concerned with the progress and I always felt my success was important to him. He had additional X-rays taken when he was concerned the finger was not ready to have the K-wire taken out. It was not ready, so it was taken out 2 weeks later. I was very happy with my interaction with Dr. Gendron. He worked very well for me!

Waiting months to get a follow up. Finally received one that was 2 months away. A week before the appointment we got a letter rescheduling the appoint for another month. When we finally got to the appointment we waited a half hour to get seen, only for him to inform us he would no longer be doing our daughters surgery because he felt it was to complexes and we should go to a doc that has seen more of these cases. That's fine, respect his decision. A letter stating all this would have been more than enough. Said he would send our referral. I is currently going on 4 MONTHS and he has yet to even send the referral. I call his reception weekly who appologize for his negligence. We cannot get anyone else to give the referral because he is the only pediatric plastic surgeon and it is for an out of province dr. Feeling incredibly defeated and sickened that we are no longer a priority now that he doesn't recieve a pay cheque from seeing us. Horrible horrible. I hope his business dies from his lack of care about patients. Very sad to be telling a 3 year old her hands might not be fixed by the time she starts school!
