I got referred to Dr Rajakumar by a gyno in Edmonton and he accepted my rare case. When I first met him, he seemed very confident in his ability to help me with the severe sciatic pain I was having due to endometriosis. The second time I met him was surgery day and I was already scared for this surgery, as it involves a major nerve. When I woke up from surgery I couldn't feel my leg and had no motor function. I was expected to leave the same day and ended up staying two nights in the hospital. It has been 2 months since my surgery and I am still unable to move my leg. It has been confirmed that my nerve was damaged in the surgery. Dr Rajakumar failed me and has been arrogant about my recovery process, implying that it's not his fault I ended up like this. I knew going into this surgery that there would be risks, but he assured me I would walk out fine. Just admit that it's your fault.

Excellent knowledgeable Dr. I just had a c section defect repaired and he was also able to arrange the on call general surgeon to take out my gallbladder at the same time so I didn’t have to do two surgeries. Dr Rajakumar and his staff were very friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Rajakumar.

Can not say enough great things about this doctor. Had an elective total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy- as well as an umbilical hernia repair. He came recommended by my regular OB. Surgery was done laparoscopically and I had minimal pain and a quick recovery. He was great to talk to prior to surgery and I would recommend him to anyone considering this procedure.

A wonderful experience with Dr. Rajakumar - He performed a bilateral salpingectomy filling in for another gyno in my city who has too high of a patient load. This was an elective surgery for me, and I felt no judgement or questioning from him regarding my choice, he was very supportive and took the time to explain every step. Patient & very kind and a happy demeanor, I felt safe and taken great care of. If I lived in the same city I would absolutely see DR. Rajakumar again, and will recommend him to other women with relevant needs.
Very grateful to have this surgery complete by someone who did not question my decision at all, as being a younger female knowing my whole life I do not want children - there has been judgement from doctors every step to get me here.
Thank you DR. Rajakumar!!!

Had the worst telephone consult ever with this person. He asked what treatment I wanted/expected. I said you’re the doctor what are my options. He rattled off things that I’ve tried and they failed. He informed me if I wasn’t interested in this treatment I was choosing to live in pain. He also let me know if I didn’t have treatment options I wanted to try it would “be a waste of both our time to have an appointment.” The misogyny and lack of care I have experienced in the absolutely shamefully ludicrous Canadian healthcare system is beyond the pale. I have had doctors suggest all manner of inappropriate things while insisting I somehow am not dealing with a diagnosed medical condition. Apparently you don’t even get the chance for an in person appointment if you fail the audition phone call. Awful doctor. Do not waste your time.

I had my surgery on March 27 2023, in Canmore General Hospital with Dr. Rajakumar. Everything went very well, and I am feeling better as each day goes by. He is extremely knowledgeable, exceptionally skilled, and incredibly caring his patients. He was willing to listen and answer all my questions with his consultations and even during the surgery day. I am grateful that I was able to be seen and treated by him.
I would highly recommend Dr. Rajakumar for any gynecology related health concerns.
Big thanks to OR nurses in Canmore Hospital, they are extremely friendly and helpful!!

He has a nice bedside manner, but he uses excessive force in examinations, and be careful about what he might be reporting about you in his doctors notes.

His doctors report about my visit was rude, inaccurate and some things were outright lies. A new doctor and 4 months later and I'm only just starting to not be bedridden in pain. I can walk a little again, now that the pain is less crippling.
