I knew I needed hearing aids and my search for information about products and services led me to Soundwave in Calgary. I was very lucky to be given the opportunity to meet Deanne Smigel and have her go through the first assessment of my hearing. Deanne was very knowledgeable about the whole process of testing, to fitting, to products out there. It was a bit overwhelming at first but Deanne just took all my questions and concerns in stride and answered all my questions as they came up. More importantly Deanne allayed my fears of the unknown. It was great fun learning from Deanne which made the whole process much easier. You have to do a lot of research to find out all about hearing loss and the new innovations in hearing loss equipment and that is where Deanne really was invaluable. Not only did she have a lot of answers but also steered me to a few resources to search out more information and to find the questions I didn’t even think to ask.
The whole experience from the first phone call from Soundwave to the last meeting with Deanne and the final fitting for my new hearing aides has been a very pleasurable experience. From the first time I stepped into the office I was very comfortable with all that Soundwave was able to do for me. Further I will have no hesitation in contacting them about anything to do with the hearing aid experience. Everyone I met at the office was very positive and upbeat and I think it was because they know they are helping a lot of people to a better life.
Having my new hearing aides and knowing what to expect from them has made my life a whole lot more pleasurable. I get to follow conversations in my family gatherings. I hear sounds that I had lost the ability to hear. And the mental health has improved once I started to be able to really hear and understand what people were saying to me. And all because I made that first phone call and was lucky enough to meet Deanne and the staff at Soundwave and have them help me get to this point.
I highly recommend Soundwave and all the staff.

Anne and the staff at Soundwaves have been a real saviour for me. I was in real distress due to run away tinnitus. I'm now able to function with the tinnitus not gone but under control.
