Dr A.Gallolgy is a longstanding professional colleague that I have known for over 3 years. I have referred many clients over the past few years and I consider him to be one of the finest clinicians that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Dr Gallogly is a consummate professional and a wonderful, caring Psychiatrist. He would often move his schedule around to fit my clients in, nothing is ever a problem for him. He presents with excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially as it relates to his patients and I would recommend him whole heartedly to anyone seeking a bright, compassionate and genuine Physician for themselves or their family member.

I developed a severe depression and really struggled to recover. My Psychiatrist tried his very best but no medication seemed to work. My GP suggested I see Dr Gallogly. It certainly took a lot of hard work on his part but Im happy to say he eventually got me on the right medication combination and I am gradually improving. He also sent me to a a therpsit who gave me great tips for dealing with anxiety and panic attacks. Thank you very much Dr G.

I only had a single consultation with Dr Gallogly. I found him to be attentive, engaged and competent. He made a point of explaining the proposed treatment in detail. He was also generous with his time outside of the session. My only reservation is that he recommended I see a therapist who did not seem to have recognized qualifications for treating severe mental illness.

It has taken me a while to write this review as my experience with Dr G has been something that has really affected me. I had been seeing him for nearly a year and our sessions started off amazingly and were definitely inline with all the positive reviews written about him here. However, with time the quality of the consultations diminished to a point where they were totally disorganised. Further into our sessions, he became very unprofessional, terse and condescending, even though I was compliant with his advice and was always polite and agreeable with him.

I can only put this experience to him being overworked, considering how many clients he treats, as well as him having many responsibilities working in the psychiatric hospital, because it makes little sense that such a brilliant psychiatrist could quickly turn so different.Nevertheless, it was very disheartening giving so much time and trust to him and for him to deliver such poor treatment to me only to take no accountability and respond so arrogantly when this was respectfully brought to his attention, so I feel my experience should be made known for others out there seeking a psychiatrist.

I have been to A LOT of psychiatrists & psychologists over the years. Heck, I even lived with one for 11 years. I wholeheartedly recommend this man. Dr Alan Gallogly is extremely professional, exceptionally talented and is hands down the best therapist when you are battling any kind of mental illness. He just has a way of making people feel comfortable and confident within themselves and I am just over the moon that I've stumbled across him.

I highly recommend Dr. Gallogly for his brilliant , knowledge of drugs and kindness to his patients. He helped me overcome an issue with medication that no other doctor could help me with. I had peace in me at the end of the consultation. A wonderful doctor and human being. Thank you.

Dr. Alan Gallogly can be hard to find but leave a message on his voicemail and he will get back to you within a few days. I thought he had a private practice in Port Melbourne but unfortunately that will not open until later in the year. He works from Noble Park. He seems really nice on the phone and was kind enough to recommend a psychiatrist close to where I live, although unfortunately that man has moved on somewhere else!
