2 years ago my son was diagnosed with constipation by 2 Pediatricians at maple ridge. He was transferred to Abbotsford for treatment but Dr Sinha realized that something was amiss. He subsequently organized further tests and diagnosed him with a lymphoma and we were transferred to Bc children’s hospital. It wasn’t for his astute sense, my son would have continued to be treated for constipation!! He was very kind and comforting and we are grateful for all that he did.

I took my twelve year old son in last summer after he had been living with joint pain for three years. Dr. Sinha made him do a couple squats and when he was able to do it, Dr. Sinha said "No, there's nothing wrong. Send him to a counsellor".
This could have been dangerous if I had listened to him, as we are now being sent to BC Children's after another doctor sent him for bloodwork that raised a lot of red flags to something very serious.
The fact is, parents need to listen to their children and not believe everything a "know it all" doctor says just because they want to get to the next patient.
This could have gone really badly and I'm glad we pushed through and got to a more effective doctor.
BE WARE.

I found him pushy and he kept insisting I give my NICU baby a fortifier to help her gain weight. Even though my motherly intuition was telling me it was not a good idea, and even though I said no repeatedly, he kept pushing every day he saw me until I didn't have the energy to say no anymore. Needless to say, my daughter screamed for hours and was in so much pain it was horrible to watch. He didn't listen to me and he insisted that this was the only option my daughter would gain weight. The next day a nurse suggested an alternative option that I give her the hind milk and my daughter gained all the weight she needed naturally via my breast milk. Having a baby in the NICU is exhausting in itself and having a doctor push you into doing something OPTIONAL for your baby that you do not feel good about is horrible. My experience in the NICU was terrible because of this doctor.

Dr. Sinha showed up almost an hour late for our appointment! No one informed us of his whereabouts or when they thought he would show up for our appointment. Finally when he arrived, both my husband and I discussed our concerns with our daughter. He talked to her for about 2 minutes. His response to our concerns were infuriating. He questioned me several times about what I wanted from him. I kept replying "to get my daughter help". His "diagnosis" of my daughter was that "she just needs to run more". He proceeded to tell me that he would not give me drugs for her (which I never mentioned anything about wanting to give her drugs". He also said anxiety and depression are not really found in kids her age (She's 8 years old) and that counselling would not be effective because she is so young). I was able to be referred to another Paediatrician by my family doctor. My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety and Oppositional Defiance Disorder. Dr. Sinha did not take our concerns seriously. He made me feel crazy for even coming in to get help for my daughter.

We are so grateful to Dr Sinha for detecting immediately a life threatening infection in our baby. He was very prompt and started treatment immediately for strep infection. He was very kind and supportive and ensured he answered all the questions to the best of his knowledge. If you have a sick child, you want him . He genuinely cares for children and we are so grateful to him. He ensures appropriate follow ups as well. Thank you for everything..

Make sure you do your own research before following this paediatrician’s advice. One size does not fit all when it comes to medical care.. doctor’s don’t know everything.. you are your child’s best advocate and caretaker
