I am in the mist of wondering if I have breast cancer or not and it is not at all encouraging that I have to wait so long to find out. I had a lumpectomy 5 days ago and now Dr Hemric is on vacation and I will not see him until 6 more days. Apparently I am supposed to wait to know my results until then. This hurts and stresses me out. Before my surgery I tried to schedule my post op and was told 'no, because that is not how we do things'. I should have known then but I wanted to use Dr. Hemric because a close friend referred me to him. Only after surgery did I find out that he would be on vacation the following week and that I would have to wait. This is torture for me and my whole family.Rude staff and a doctor who does not communicate or have his post ops covered in a timely manner is not what I signed up for!

I've seen Dr. Hemric twice now, last year and recently, and he's wonderful. Staff is nice, although I do miss the nurse he had last year (Amy? Amber?). She was great and very helpful. I will definitely see him again if I need to and recommend him to everyone I know.

I chose to be referred to Dr Hemric after researching possible surgeons for gallbladder removal. I went as far to read every site I could find with feedback and I searched for each doctor's judicial background, so I could see how often they were all sued for negligence or malpractice. So believe me, I did my homework. I was nervous, but Dr Hemric was great. I felt so comfortable talking to him. He was straightforward and open to listening and answering questions. His staff is phenomenal. My surgery went great, the office called the next day, and my follow up was within a week. Dr Hemric spent plenty of time with my family post-surgery as well as me at my follow up. I even had to call a couple more times post follow up and always was able to get an immediate response and encouragement to call back if needed. Truly a great experience.

DR. HEMRIC PERFORMED GALLBLADDER SURGERY ON MYSELF AND RECENTLY MY SON ..I AM SO PLEASED WITH THE SURGERY..HEALED VERY WELL COULDN'T HAVE PICKED A BETTER SURGEON OR OFFICE.

I'm posting very late but just found this site. Dr. Hemric performed my out-patient lumpectomy for stage one breast cancer in 2004. Dr. Hemric is a wonderful surgeon and a very caring doctor. I felt so at ease with him and his recommendations for my surgery. My oncologist, Dr. Aleda Toma, commented on what a great job Dr. Hemric did with the surgery closure. She told me it was a very nice smooth scar. I would recommend Dr. Hemric to anyone.

He was the second surgeon that I had gone to. I switched my surgery over to be done by him. I walked out of his office feeling very comfortable and a lot of stress lifted off my shoulders. Excellent doctor.

Had surgical breast biopsy. I was extremely nervous. Doctor made me feel very secure and his staff was very patient with me. I am only one day post-op but feel great. Thank you Dr. Hemric.

Dr. Hemric and his staff were wonderful, as were the people at Deaconess. Recent gallbladder surgery went very well, in and out with no complications and only a few days of downtime.

He performed gallbladder surgery on me and he was amazing! He is very helpful and really cares about his patients! He always goes the extra mile! We are lucky to have such a wonderful down to earth man that cares as much as he does! His staff is wonderful as well!
