Dr. Robert Wittes & his assistant, Kira are AWESOME!! Dr. Wittes is actually a Travel Specialist & also a family & GP +has extensive experience in pharmaceuticals. I first met him when I was referred to him as the Travel Dr. several yrs ago when I went to Asia & he agreed to take me on as part of his General Practice. He is kind, empathetic; very knowledgeable, and if he doesn't know the answer he does not hesitate to look it up or refer to a specialist; an excellent diagnostician; so patient-really listens and takes the time to explain without being patronizing ( in the past few years I have developed many illnesses & he has spent much time trying to help me with the best medications or referrals); & is genuinely concerned.......CON"T NEXT ....ABOVE

Dr. Wittes has been a great help to me and my family. He is the family doctor of a relative, and during a recent illness, helped us in navigating our way through medical reports and was clear, knowledgeable, kind, and so very respectful in the sharing of information and in explaining reports. Dr. Wittes is the most caring, ethical and wise doctor we have ever come across in my turbulent journey for better health in Canada. He takes the time and has the professional expertise to deeply dig in health problems until he finds a solution! He cares about his patients and their wellbeing! Though I no longer live in North Toronto, I will always be grateful to Dr. Wittes. That is, for his careful review of lab results that I brought with me, after I finally freed myself from a very questionable endocrinologist. With thoroughness, Dr. Wittes quickly identified an (8-year) overdose of thyroid medication. He also carefully attended to related issues, referring me to other specialists, when warranted. As one nephrologist put it: Dr. Wittes is a good quarterback. Reversion of the damages I sustained took a few years, but every visit to Dr. Wittes was a pleasure, knowing that, at last, I was in very good medical hands. I trusted him implicitly, and treasured his friendship as he worked with me. Among those who enter the field of medicine for a variety of reasons, Dr. Wittes stands tall as a valued physician. May he continue to offer his medical counsel for years to come – with Kira’s invaluable assistance.

Dr Wittes has been my family doctor since I moved to Toronto eight years ago. He is definitely a very knowledgeable, caring top professional who always makes his patients feel they are in good hands. Whether on the phone or at his office, he takes the time to listen and understand. As a result, his diagnoses are always right.
