I am a 77 year old physically active male and a patient of Dr. Chin. When I first visited Dr. Chin I was suffering from acute sciatica starting from my right buttock and down through my right leg. In an attempt to correct this problem and previous to being attended to by Dr. Chin I had received numerous I.M.S. treatments, physio treatments and therapeutic massage treatments but with only limited success. At this point I was feeling rather desperate to find relief from this painful condition that was affecting my ability to enjoy a pain free nights sleep, walk, exercise, play golf and to return to my normal active way of life.
During his examination Dr. Chin concluded that my right hip was rotated thus putting undo stress on my muscles which was, in turn, creating my painful and debilitating sciatic nerve condition.
Dr. Chin carried out several chiropractic adjustments over the course of several weeks to set my hip properly, (as it had been out for a long time). He also recommended daily, simple but specific exercises to help the muscles return to normal.
Toward the end of my treatment Dr. Chin carried out "Shockwave" therapy on my muscles to promote additional healing.
I am happy to say that my sciatica has now virtually disappeared, my hip is where it is supposed to be and my hip rotation is normal again. I am enjoying a restful night sleep, my walking is so much better and my lower body muscles are now much stronger.
As I go forward i intend to continue to carry out the exercises as prescribed by Dr. Chin.
I have always found Dr. Chin to be very knowledgeable, professional, down to earth, positive, and always encouraging. Dr. Chin also has a good sense of humour.
Thank you Dr. Chin for getting me back to good health again. I am now able to look forward to spending this winter skiing at Whistler.
