All my experiences with his Dr. Avern's Clinic have been exceptionally respectful, polite and professional. The care shown to myself has always been of the very best in my 67 years of any medical care given. There will always be a low percentage of patients who are often disgruntled individuals and are never satisfied and often don't recognize good medical care even when they are given it. I believe anyone with a reasonable attitude will be extremely satisfied with the level of heart the Staff here gives and 2nd to none in the medical field.

why do you keep going back to him if hes dismissive- WHY Don't you go somewhere else?. the grass isnt greener on the other side my friend.. quit whining- move on.

He lacks empathy and seems bored by his job. Unpleasant man who is dismissive and hostile when questioned.

The doctor himself is lovely. I was asked to get a test that took over two years to complete. I had emailed and called various times during that wait period asking to be seen again as my symptoms were progressing and intensifying. However, I was met with his secretary’s responses, which, are often weeks later. They continued to tell me to see a family doctor; which I did not have. Years go by and when the test is finally completed I make them aware only to be met with resistance saying I need a re-referral. Jump through the hoops of getting a re-referral (through clinics as I don’t have a fam MD) only to be refused as the scope has changed. Brittany herself had said she would talk with Dr Averns and let me know his response - only to be ignored and never again answered by email. I got notification that my re-referral has been declined. AWFUL communication on parts of his secretary. Don’t make false promises to others in this awful healthcare system, only to never follow up with a simple email or phone call. Thanks for wasting years of referral time to be left with yet again, no answers or solutions.

i do not believe that he ran out of room and dismissed you- hes known as comical, isnt that better then being completely miserable? if you do not fall within his scope of inflammatory arthritis, then there isnt much he can offer- quit whining.
go to the pain clinic - sometimes medicine is a trial and error, if you respond great and if you dont well then move onto the next trial- you clearly dont understand the medical profession its quite evident. i Love dr averns ,- was very down to earth, didnt beat around the bush or cut corners. the reviews are all from patients who have clearly seen him. maybe drop your name next time :)

Would not recommend this person. He gave me a stage 4 cancer type bad diagnosis saying treatment needed to start years ago but on follow up after a week he started dissmissing me. One apt he seemed nice until he pulled up my chart and then turned into a different person ,tried gaslighting me saying he didn't diagnosis me and told me I was cured even though 5 mins ago he had examined my joints and said they were very bad(they were). Was on a neurotoxic useless med for over a year because of his weird hatred towards me. Also verbally abused me for an unknown reason and comically ran out the room once he realized he messed up.My original review was removed too so I'm thinking the positive reviews here are fake.
