He manages his own appointments, and they are always on time. He is patient and listens, and I do CBT with him.

Very patient and listens carefully whenever during our regular meetings. His suggested prescriptions have greatly helped me and I am forever indebted to him.

Doing CBT with him was very insightful and worked fine. But I believe what he's prescribed for me is what really helped out.

For those who waited months to finally meet him, this I believe is the norm for the current times and this is the cost of free universal healthcare.

Dr. D was amazing. He helped me immensely with my ADHD and Anxiety. I felt he was very patient, knowledgable, and good listener. Im doing way better in school now, and managing my stress. Im just disappointed he's not taking on any new patients, only referrals. I wish I could had him as my Doctor. he was great.

What an a s shole. Gave me appointment more then 3 months out. When I wanted to be seen right away. Stupid Dr. Elisa Venier sent me to him. Doesn’t care about patients, both docs just want money and are in collusion.

CBT helped my anxiety and depression immensely. I see a lot of very negative reviews here of him, with experiences that are the polar opposite of what I experience with Dr. D, which is surprising! I definitely recommend Dr. D, at least for anxiety and depression.

Take the 5 stars review with a grain of salt. Just threw many combinations of meds and talks for most of sessions he used to work at Camh. Took a vacation then sent to a letter for my family doc to help me!!

A wonderful understanding, kind, patient, and caring. For haters out there may not understand that each doctors has a guideline. If you're more needing help, he will refer you to a doctor best suited for your condition. I am very grateful that he helps me so much. Thanks Dr. D.

Awful. I was referred to see this doctor through a walkin clinic, I did hear back in a reasonable amount of time and was able to get an appointment. I had a bad experience, left me feeling worse than before visiting him. I was referred to him as my old psych retired and I am on medication that requires follow ups. Dan Giacomo suggested a dosage change and appeared to know what he was talking about (so knowledge was good) however he didn't leave me with a prescription. He said he would instead let my doctor know about the dosage change and that he would write out the prescription. He also let me know he would not see me again as he was only taking on patients for CBT. He never let my doctor know about the dosage change. 3 weeks went by and I called the clinic to see if they had yet heard from him - nothing. I called the psych 4 times in total to follow up - no answer.
Not helpful at all - wasted weeks waiting to first see him, and then waiting on the new prescription.

Took months to see him, and he recommended lithium in the first appointment with no history of depression, or any meaningful disorder the could justify the drug. Strongly recommend staying away. He spent five minutes discussing what I was referred for and the remaining 40 minutes trying to tell me how I felt and what I was experiencing to justify prescribing lithium.

I've been seeing him monthly, he's helped me so much! I've been through many different meds before seeing him and he always pointed out that he prefers his patients to minimize the amount of different medications. We've been doing cognitive therapy, which is restructuring my outlook on life and helping my anxiety.
