this Dr was verbally abusive and rude ... he called me a liar (until I had to prove him wrong) and I would NOT recommend anyone to use him as he clearly is no interested in helping people or even being a doctor... his staff pulled me aside and apologized for his bad behavior and now that I see the other reviews I'm questioning why is permitted to practice??

I am not sure why Dr. Canasi is practicing medicine. He clearly doesn't like people or answering questions. He was rude and disrespectful to me as well as my husband. He refused to answer any of our medical concerns at each of our appointments and was told to make a new appointment to answer my question. Clearly he just wanted to bill me for a new visit. I am a healthy person and had one question that he refused to answer. Don't waste your time with this doctor.

He saved my dad's life. What else can I say? Dr. Canasi is thorough, he's very smart, he cares about each of his patient's and takes his time explaining everything to patients and their families. As an RN, I always recommend him as a PCP to friends & co-workers.

In February I had to switch doctors due to my new health insurance plan. BTW: i am also a health professional and while i don't expect any special treatment, I understand what is important, and I am really basically healthy. This doctor's staff was pleasant and helpful upon initial encounter. When I came in for my appointment however, i did have to wait much too long and then sat with his assistant who did basic vitals and went over my complaints -- she was very good. Then I had to wait further to see the doctor - who as others have noted here - spent 5 minutes with me on the exam - Never once asked about any of the complaints that I had just discussed with his assistant and did not do an EKG which i thought was an appropriate baseline as I have never seen him before. Then I called the office and sent an email, which was never answered. When I stopped in, I was told to use their "portal" to communicate, which i tried, but found it was "inactivated." Once activated I left a message there asking the doctor to call me. NO ONE called or communicated with me. Then I received a letter stating they thought I needed a "VIP practice." This was thoroughly unprofessional and uncalled for.

I would not recommend this doctor.

I dont like Dr Canasi's office for several reasons. #1 his staff is awful and rude. #2 he sees you for 2 minutes and charges you a lot for it and does not resolve any of your issues.#3 he always have residents there and they ask you all kind of questions and then he asks you the same questions and explain medicine to them while you are there wasting your time. I am not going back to his office for sure.

Dr. Canasi is a wonderful doctor. I noticed all the posts regarding his attitude. This doctor is extremely knowledgeable and extremely thorough. If people want to sit and chat with a dr for hours, they should see a psychiatrist. Dr. Canasi should be commended not critized. Many patients have nothing else to do but it and waste a Dr.'s time. Let him do his job, let him TREAT YOU. I definitely want him fighting on my behalf. Shame on you out there complaining.
