Dr. Kleinplatz is a skilled, compassionate, and excellent psychologist. He helped me through two very difficult periods of my life. I have seen several psychologists/therapists and they fall short of what Dr. Kleinplatz has to offer (skills, knowledge, and being a relatable human) to help transform your life. He is deeply caring and clearly cares about his work, as evident by his ability to remember so much about your life and collaborate with you during sessions. He provides a safe space for you to learn about yourself, share your thoughts, and work together to find your own insights/answers while also being direct when needed. We also did EMDR work - which has profoundly changed me emotional, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. 10/10 - I would trust him to work with my close friends, family, and children.

Dr Kleinplatz is an excllent psychologist. When my old psychologist retired I was so worried I would find someone who could help me. His style is different from my previous provider, but still very effective. He is quite observant and listens very carefully. I can honestly say that had I not had the change in providers, I may have never gotten over the hump that he helped me over, and this says nothing poor about my previous provider. Maurie has a more direct approach, while still allowing you to find your own answers. His memory is incredible, as well.

Dr. Kleinplatz was there at a time where I needed extra support and helped guide me to a place where I had the resources to support myself. He makes you feel comfortable but he is also witty and has a sense of humour. One of my favourite parts was his use of quotes from books and old sessions and he always seemed to have a quote for every moment. I recommend him highly!!

I strongly recommend Dr. Kleinplatz and I have seen many different psychologists and social workers. He has a very gentle and kind approach while still giving the kind of direction needed to make the positive changes I sought from counselling. Dr. Kleinplatz helped me with coping with my son not being in my life and in the initial phases of admitting I was an alcoholic. His help was a huge factor with me overcoming my fear of seeking help for my alcoholism and going to my first AA meeting. I have been sober since July 25, 2015 thanks to Dr. Kleinplatz. He is always happy to hear from me when I call to tell him I’m still sober. In absolute wonderful counsellor and man!

Unfortunately I cannot recommended this Psychologist. Although he may be knowledgeable his approach is far from helpful. I would go even so far as to say unprofessional. I figured this out in only 2 sessions with him. He did not fully listen to me and did not address the specific concerns I had about my marriage. He had me participate in roll plays repeatedly although I understood his point after the first time. He is condescending. He insisted that I provide him with information about my family background and literally stated that he could not help me if I did not give him with this information. Remember I was there to ask some specific questions about marriage. He was controlling and insulting. Definitely not the conduct that I would expect from a professional Psychologist. Very disappointing and disturbing experience.

There isn't a time that I have left his office without feeling great relief. I've seen other psychologist prior to him that were good, but he is by far the best. He is spot on about everything. Every time I have taken his advice it has worked out for me and put me in a better position. He simply makes sense and in an uncomplicated manner. He is so caring and compassionate it is unbelievable, and I find it touching that he remembers even small details, like someone's name I've mentioned say once like a month ago. Time spent with him is honestly priceless.

Dr. Kleinplatz helped me get through the most difficult situation of my life. He always stayed with me in a nonjudgmental manner. His questioning techniques helped me learn a lot about myself as a person. I think about his teachings often. He really cares about his clients.

Dr. Kleinplatz is by far the most professional therapist around. He is always on time, maintains appropriate boundaries, listens exceptionally well, and leaves the client in charge of leading the process. He is willing to admit it when he doesn't have an answer. He is also very supportive and attentive to clients' changing needs. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a highly competent therapist. He knows his stuff!!

Dr. Kleinplatz is not only helpful but very widely read (philosophy to medicine to the arts) so he is able to approach the a problem in a number of ways to help his patients understand their problems.
