I'll be dead in a few months.
If he only looked when asked to.
I could have gotten a few more years anyway. Glad he's retired.

Rude arrogant disrespectful dismissive the sooner this guy is out of the medical system the better! It is obvious by his behavior that he really doesn't enjoy what he's doing therefore he should pack it in!

Though I last saw Axler in 01/23 I have been seeing him for more than 30 years. In that time, I've experienced nothing but courteousness and attentiveness in that time. I came to appointments with notes about my health leading up to the appointments and questions about treatment, follow up, etc. He appreciated my rigour and returned it in kind. I'll miss his expertise and thoroughness. I'll also miss Aurelia who each and every time I visited had a smile and matched the doctor's thoroughness. I hope they both have a great retirement.

He wouldn't give my husband an endoscopy despite several requests for one. He said it wouldn't tell him anything despite my husband's (at the time) 25 pound weight loss and constant burping and indigestion. This went on for months and months. My husband saw another doctor and has now been diagnosed with stage 3 or 4 stomach cancer. Thank you so much Dr. Axler. I hope you sleep well at night.

Sadly my beautiful Mother passed from colon cancer back on February 3rd, 2023. She was misdiagnosed by Dr. Axler for 4 months. He kept telling her "you don't have a disease you have a digestive issue " - without even scoping her. He put her on a dumb restrictive diet. I her daughter brought her to ER one night whereby they did a cat scan and she was immediately diagnosed with colon cancer - stage 4 at the time 6 years ago. 57 chemotherapy treatments later and 3 surgeries and we lost her. Also spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in cancer treatment care in the States. Please do never go to him. He to this day has not taken any accountability although he did apologise for HIS miss. The hell we have all gone through for the past 6 years and most of all my Mom. Her last 2 weeks of life were terrible - cancer spread to the liver and lungs, lung embolisms, perforated bowel, sepsis through the roof. I am heartbroken. For the people who say we should not be allowed to post these kinds of things - the truth hurts doesn't it - I know that more than anyone after the hell we have been put through and are still in.

misdiagnosed my mom now shes dying. should have been terminated years ago as her symptoms were signs of colon ca and never performed colonoscopy. four months later diagnosed with stage 4. reading his reviews this isnt the first time this has happened. after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars no dr any longer wants to be involved in her care and are refusing any home care assistance. so sad esp considering she devoted her career loving it for 55 years 20 of them here......as her daughter i have to live with this for the rest of my life. to hush her up they want her dead and are refusing to provide any form of effective treatment knowing it is too late

I had another in person visit to see Dr. J. Axler today because I had another possible colon issue. He was extremely punctual as usual. He spent time to give me the detailed and precise explanation of the cause of my colon problem. He is a very caring doctor. After the visit, I feel much relief. I am so glad that I was under his care.

Thanks again, Dr. Axler for your time and excellent advice.

Aurelia, thank you again for your help to set up this appointment.

The sooner he retires, the better for all of us. Rude and arrogance describes him perfectly. Complete drug pusher and will not entertain ANY truth that some natural supplements do help. If patient says turmeric is helping, then believe patient. Instead he sits behind his fancy desk discounting what you are saying. Won't even add it to his notes! If he had even one family member with GI issues maybe he wouldn't be so dismissive and arrogant.
