She is a condescending joke. She doesn't listen, she just jumps to wild conclusions. She is the doctor that makes people hate doctors. No lie.. If it were at all possible I would have her fired instantly. I don't feel bad what so ever saying this about her, because all she has done is destroy confidence and scare people. If I could give her an all around zero I would. Don't see this goof, she is burying herself with her garbage attitude and demeanour. Stay away from this troll

Dr Dutchyn was very patient listening to me explain my symptoms and question her responses. Never felt she communicated rudely to me. However, she kept trying to convince me that what I was suffering from was something I was most definitely not experiencing. She didn't really take into account what I was telling her and although she never rushed me, I felt like she didn't truly care to figure out what was the problem. Just brushed it off as something that I kept telling her it wasn't and recommended medication that wouldn't even help my symptoms.

She's great. I've always left the office satisfied that she helped me or my kids or gave us the referall we needed. Carissa at the front desk is absolutely lovely to deal with. Would definitely recommend her.

I felt humiliated listening to the way she spoke to me that I knew absolutely nothing about my own body. She does not listen to her patients needs before she steps out and on to the next patient. Insulted me by asking why I did not have money for retirement. Rude disrespectful

Is this person still practicing medicine ? I have had multiple health issues my whole life and have taken responsibility to edjucate my self as much as possible . I respect anyone who takes the time and effort to complete any kind of academia , but the is a sometimes huge gap between education and intelligence . This lady represents the worst example . Throw in in unjustified arrogance and and over all horrible people skills , well not a good combo when dealing with people's lives . My first experience was a while ago I was feeling extra bad and had some suspicions so I went to a walk in ( still very niave of the ways of BC medical ) I had asked for various tests one of the bieng a testosterone level . I had all the symptoms of low test but wanted to make sure . I was greeted by her with " well I can tell you right now just by looking at you your test levels are fine " so I'm thinking wow ! This is one amazing doctor " she's so good she doesn't have to test ! I was feeling better already , of course common sense dictates getting the test just to be sure , especially with my complete rational to do so . After much arguing she agreed to do so , the whole time talking down to me and with arrogance .the kind of doctor that is insecure and feels threatened when faced against some one of a higher intellect ,so long story short , test come back , and she says I have the level of a 13 year old girl . Hmmm well then she pulls out her tablet for the answers to TRT therapy , abviously clueless on the subject . Luckily I have done my homework and basically laid down a plan in detail . Which she agreed . I basically had to do her job , after bieng insulted and in the face of mass incompetance . I used her services for many years for that script . Abviously sourcing out other doctors for my continuous health problems . In her defence I have found 80 % to be in her catagorie which is very scary . I went in for my script refill and she suggested I do some blood work , I told her I had just had some done and presented it to her , I told her I had have extreme chronic abdominal issues and am trying to figure it out . Told her I had seen many doctors . Natural paths and every alt treatment , even went to Cuba to discuss my issues . Unfortunately she is just the poster child for the doctors in BC , not the exception , I'm speaking from documented experience . I figured I should start recording these sessions as no one will believe . Since then I have lost everything , live in my vehicle , and am writing a small documentary about my journey here . I hope I can get it finished before I go , hopefully to help others from having to go thru what I did , I am sorry for her , and I understand why she is the way she is , and that's her right , but not in this field , maybe working at a junkyard or recycling yard , would fit her attitude . If she survived in the real world . Don't take my words for granted , if you have the time go in for a consultation . Then please comment . You could save a life

I'm glad for the negative reviews, because that mean's less people standing in line for my favorite doctor in Canada, Dr. Dutchyn. I was a walk-in patient and did have to wait an hour to see her, however she took a lot of time with me and I really feel she assessed me as a whole person, looking into my eyes, assessing what I said, listening to her intuition. I went in for a dermatological concern and Dr. Dutchyn identified a different and more serious health issue that I didn't bring up. I trust her and look forward to working with her to maintain my health.

I had the opportunity to meet Shannon 5 years ago. It was at this time I to was a bit leery until my name come up for me to meet with Dr. Shannon in her office. . I as a retired nurse have never met such a person who not only was efficient but very determined to see that ALL my needs were met!! Not only was Shannon to the point, but had she not been I would not have not discovered I had issues. All which were attended to "Immediately! Patients is hard for a lot of people especially in this fast passed time however I can assure you that I thank my "Lucky Stars that I had the opportunity to have met and now retained one of BC'S most efficient doctors of all times!!
