For a hospital it is not very handicapped accessible b needs massive upgrades to accommodate disabled patients.

March 25 Not enough staff to give competent care. Elderly patient with excruciating pain caused by constipation left on stretcher for 5 hours before seen by Dr. Treatment initiated patient remains in pain becomes agitated. Bowel movements begin and patient discharged ad sent home . uncontrollable bowel movement occcurs before able to arrive home. Patient deficates in pants and in parking lot . Had patient been treated earlier lengthy stay would have been avoided, patient would not have dealt with excruciating pain for 6 hours and there would have been time for the laxative and enmas to work.

The worst care I have ever received at a medical facility in Canada. 2016 I was lied to, called a liar, left unattended twice for 12+ hours upon arrival by ambulance, Stereotyped and discriminated against, given med's I'm allergic to. Left dirty with not even a face cloth, no clean PJ's for 6 days before a LPN asked if I would like a sponge bath & a change of PJ's, given placebos instead of med's (wonder what they billed MSP for, the antibiotics or the placebos). In the end they told me I made it all up and to never to come back. Their psychiatrist refused to commit me and even admitted my theory just might be right. Incident-Called ambulance at 8-PM and was taken to Langley Memorial Hospital (LMH). They checked my vitals. I spent the next 12 hrs (NO Water, NO Med's, NO Food, NO Nurse or Dr. No call bell, No urinal) There was no feeling in my legs from the knees down, unable to walk. I was so parched my tongue was sticking to the roof of my mouth. My speech had degenerated to nearly impossible to understand. Around 4 AM a Dr asked about the"man in room 13", an english speaking female says "Don't worry about him go to the lounge and we will call you if we need you". Around 8:30-AM a Dr asks "why hasn't anyone seen the man in room 13?" By this time I could barely speak. He puts me down as a 'Psychotic" and he says outside the curtain "I don't know what to do with him, let's send him upstairs and let them deal with him." I was treated like a 'Gay Sex worker, a Druggie, & a Hippy on a bad trip', because I had longer hair & was unable to shower for 4 days & hadn't been eating much 1st tests ordered; every sexual disease on the planet, & urine drug tox screen, all came back negative with a note quring where did I get all the 'opiates' in my system? Lab not informed I had been using morphine for 8 months! First thing they did wrong - cancel the Morphine and replace it with Hydromorphone - a drug that I have severe reactions to (2012 should have shown up on my charts) - causes confusion, loss of memory, dizziness, & loss of coordination, Stop order (11 days later) but without the allergic reaction notes, 3rd time in, a month later they still had me down as using Hydromorphone instead of Morphine - TOTAL INCOMPETENCE Second they added a antipsychotic drug Risperidone for Schizophrenia & Manic depression. A wild diagnosis made in within 3 minutes with no testing Then they tell me that they suspect Lou Gehrig Disease (ALS), nasty stuff no cure , causing me great anxiety . (They leave me with this info). A ENC test was done a month later (Diamond Center) confirming NO ALS and NO feelings in my legs from the knees down I was informed that "They had NO medical history on me"? Very strange, since I had 4 kidney stones removed at LMH in Dec 2015, & various scans. Where's info on me from Peace Arch Hospital (PAH) 11 years in WR. They didn't appear to know that it ALL one system and you can get all info from any hospital - told to me by PAH & TV advertising lack of upgrading At least 6 YEARS behind PAH - Courses are being taught to the public that the staff didn't bother to read when they were released. Have proof, procedures so basic they are taught to LPN 's @ UBC nursing starting on or before 2011. I found 3 LPN's @LMH that knew about the courses. When I asked them to tell the Dr what I'm doing is real. All three declined stating "We can't tell him anything. "(Even the nurse in the ER @PAH new about 'Vocalization') - This is a serious problem because the same courses are offered to the resident mental patients. Two of the courses teach what is called "Vocalization" (Stress & Anger Management) thru the Marion-Ward Pavilion. (Check the brochure) Vocalization is basically - talking out loud till you literally talk the problem out of yourself, very good technique to calm yourself down when stressed & getting frustration & foul language dealt with when angry. The Head of neurology calls this "hearing voices" and therefore I need years of "physiatric help " & 3 physiatrists I saw were also unaware Fraser Mental Health declared I have no Mental problems December 2016. I was surprised when I mention all the above to Fraser Mental Health that they didn't have any concerns or suggest I was mistaken. After a 20 minute conversation they advised me are far as they were concerned I have no mental problems I could go on & on about the lies the nurses have to do on your charts to cover up the Dr inadequacies. How they claim I ran down a hallway, and 2 times - 12+ hr sessions of outrageous spasms were just to "SHOW OFF" When I was 16 years old, 5 guys held me down & kicked me with cowboy boots, I spent 2 weeks in the hospital & 3 months to recover. Due to the nature of the injury I was never able to run again or participate in sports for the rest of my life. The purp got 2 years in jail. I've been using forearm crutches since 2008, just to be able to walk

Terrible hospital populated by terrible staff and doctors. Avoid this place like the plague. In fact avoid any Fraser health hospital if at all possible

i highly recommend you do not go to this hospital, it is awful! I was sent here by my doctor for having severe chest pains. The nurses were miserable and rude not to add that I had to wait 9 hours and I still hadn't seen the doctor! In those 9 hours I had only had my blood taken and an ECG test done which was done within the first hour upon arriving. I will never return to this hospital

mom was admitted and ended up spending 3 days in emergency, there were no beds on a floor for her. There was some plastic garbage that was on the floor when she was taken in and it was still there when she left. No garbage by her bedside so any garbage from the packaging or caps or anything was just left on a shelf in the room, no lid for the commode, so when she had visitors(because she was admitted) her visitors couldn't help but see in the commode. Nothing to wash or clean herself in the mornings until her last day when she had a nurse from a different floor come and cover. food is horrible. Most of the nurses where ok, the odd rude one. I found the best care that she received was from a nurse that doesn't usually work in ER, that usually worked on one of the floors. I do understand they are over worked but....

Had to sit on floor for 9 hrs. Not enough room not enough personals. The one waiting room toilet was coverd in urin and poo. Once I got in to wait for doctor I received a bed with dirty sheets and old blood stains. Nurse didint set up my button to press if I need any help. I layed in the waiting bed for another 4 hrs no water and dehydrated my legs and toes started cramping. A patient saw how in pain I was and grabbed me water I told him to get nurse. Eventually after 7 hrs I got my first anti inflammatory for the stabbing pain . Once doctor arrived an hour later I had back pain and stabbing lower abdaminal pain he pressed on my stomach once twice painfully he told me to come back in 2 days for ultrasound. No painless prescribed I'm in extreme pain at home now and in tears. People were leaving the hospital after getting admitted

The overall experience was terrible, from the very long hours of waiting in the Emergency , the rude workers in the desk , especially the older ,chubby lady who called us to go in - so much people talking at same time , tv was on , we didn't heard her say my sons name properly , then she rudely said , we don't have all night , are you coming in or not ? She shouldn't be working there .... hey guess what we don't have all night either but we were there all night waiting & we go in and we wait for hours more for the doctor to show up , we almost out the door & gave up when he showed up , and the place is so dirty from the waiting room to inside , we weren't even in a proffer room to begin with , some kinda leg X-ray room or something , never going back there again , this hospital badly needs improvement over all, begin with those people on the front desk and begin with that very rude chubby lady .
