Went to her years ago. I was coughing for almost a year. Wouldn’t give me antibiotics. Finally went to another walk in clinic and the doctor there couldn’t believe I was coughing so bad for that long. He gave me antibiotics.in 4 days I was well again. No coughing. The damage was done. My airways were damaged for good. Now I see a pulmonary specialist.

Not at all pro-active and does not respond positively to attempts to advocate for my own health. Had not sent me for blood work for over 6 years. When I asked for bloodwork that most doctors would send for on a regular basis, she sent me for only 1 of the ones that I had asked for and did not send me for something as basic as cholesterol despite being 50. Very rudely stated "I don't practice based on what others recommend" and " I do know how to practice medicine". Unfortunately that was not my experience and I will now be changing doctors based on her poor attitude and inability to listen to her patient.

I know Dr. Dutchyn comes across a little gruff but she is the best Dr I've ever had. She makes you take responsibility for yourself and some people may see that as rude but how many Drs have time to mollycoddle their patients? The ones who don't know how to figure out what's wrong with them most likely. She has great compassion for her patients when appropriate. She's not your friend, she's your Dr. after all. She will go out of her way to take care of you as long as you do what she asks. This is not an unreasonable request if you want to get to the bottom of your issues and actually fix them. Her staff is amazing and they're actually on time. Give her a chance. Not everyone is naturally miss mary sunshine and she's really a very good Dr.

I would never have the nerve to say anything about her but now that I’ve read what other people are saying I will tell you my experience.I saw her first time and I thought she was having a bad day as she was sharp. Years later I had to see her again and I wanted to walk out when she walked in.She came flying through the door,her long hair flying and eyes that would bring you to your knees and grumpy..Please don’t see her unprepaired,as she will make you feel so small.You better have a clear picture or she will make you feel stupid to a point all you can think of is getting out of there Ive never in my life experienced anyone like her.

Most complaints about Dr. Dutchyn have to do with her presentation, which can be very direct. I think a lot of people, especially first time patients, may find that gruff, off-putting, or cold. She doesn't coddle or Dugan coat, nor put up with nonsense. If you are being silly, she will call you on it.

That's not to say she doesn't handhold, or have a bedside manner. She has helped me through the onset and initial treatment of mental illness and some pretty scary health changes.

Think of her like Professor Minerva McGonagall: stern, no nonsense, direct, capable of comforting and softness, but not as a default setting.

I don't know about the other doctors at Murals Clinic but Dr. Dutchyn is very rude. If you go to her prepare to be talked down to.

This woman cost me $7000 to 10000 because she didn't document or treat my work related injury. She never tried to assess my injury then she contradicted her own testimony when I had to deal with wcb, whom I had to fight due to my injury which required surgery. Eventually I won my claim after a few years but due to her inaction I have limited use of my arm even years later. This woman is useless.

I have not been a patient of Dr. Dutchyn very long but I love the fact that she is a no nonsense person. She does not beat around the bush she listens, is honest & just says it the way it is. Extremely knowledgeable & I think she truly cares about her patients. You don't go to a doctor with a problem & expect the result to be color coated, honesty is the best policy so I commend her. Carissa is awesome & is also very knowledgeable & upfront. The two of them make a Wonderful Team.!!

Took daughter there for hand problem and was ordered to have x-ray then they refused to follow up. Insisted she had to see family doctor who was unable to see her due to only being able to see 1 doctor a day rule. They were extremely rude and absolutely useless as far as helping my daughter with her broken hand. Because of their ineptness my daughter has to now wait and be in pain another day until her family doctor can deal with the broken hand. Absolutely disgusting!!!
