David Hampe is an amazing doctor!!! I wouldn't go with any other doctor to treat my breast cancer. He is very professional and caring.

I am younger than the patients generally seen by Dr. Hampe, and was incredibly frightened to be placed in the situation of needing tests on a breast lump. Dr. Hampe, as well as his wife, were kind, considerate, and did not try to treat me with kid gloves regardless of my age. The facility was fantastic, and being able to get a scan done on site was an amazing. The initial exam was brief, but did not feel hurried. If I could recommend this doctor to everyone I would.

Dr. Hampe I beleive is a compentent surgeon and even though my surgery did not go perfectly I beleive I will be fine. Dr. Hampe's staff is also his wife and it is a shame that she is uncaring, uncompassionate, and not a person who is respectfull of the wishes of the patient and there well-being. My experience with Dr Hampe and his staff (wife) is less than satisfactory and I would not wish this stress on anyone, as with just a little caring and understanding he would be a much better surgeon, treating the entire patient not just the disease process. "This is a cold office"

Dr. Hampe is the best of the best; Robin is also caring, professional and expert; I found her efficient and no-nonsense, and very good-humored. Being a northerner, I am used to business being conducted rather rapidly. Dr. Hampe has a mild, laid-back manner and treats cancer very aggressively without making you feel frightened. I had a modified radical mastectomy in 2001 and continue to visit for followup; He and his surgical team are very attentive to details. I did wonder, as he cared for my case, if the two of them ever slept--they were there absolutely the minute I needed them, every time, and never seemed hurried, harsh or distracted. All the research i could do confirmed that every one of his judgment calls was state of the art, top of the curve in terms of skill.

Dr. Hampe is truly one of the most compassionate, caring, skillful, and knowledgable physicians/surgeons I have ever had the privilege of being treated by. I placed my faith and life in his hands and trusted him and he delivered 100%. He is a very special human being.

The facility has everything there so you can get all your scans done at one place. Dr. Hampe takes time to get to hear what your concerns are and explains to you in detail the diagnosis. He is very gentle. I reccommend him to all my friends.

Dr. Hampe and his wife Robin are two of the finest healthcare professionals I have ever met. I have been going to Dr. Hampe for almost ten years and do not have cancer. However, he does monitor me on a regular basis due to my original needle core biopises. If I were EVER in need of surgery, he is the first call I would make. He and his wife have always been kind and compassionate toward me and I have a great deal of respect for them. I do not for a minute believe he or his staff are rude to anyone. I have seen Robin exhibit kindness everytime I have been in the office. No one is better than Dr. David Hampe.

I have known Robin and David Hampe for fourteen years. I am an RN and an Operating Room nurse who met Dr.Hampe when he started his practice at the Ambulatory Surgery Center @ Medical City, Dallas. I am also a patient of his--lumpetomy and axillary dissection for breast cancer. He is an excellent surgeon, compassionate and caring, as is his wife, Robin, an RN herself. Anyone who knows them is aware that they work as a team--Robin does not "run" his office. I have several friends, RNs also, who are his patients. Please do not let the few negative comments influence your choice of breast surgeons--he and Robin are a great team and will do all that they can to help you in your journey to good health.

I agree with the previus review that Dr. Hampe himself is a good doctor, but his wife is HORRID. She is so rude, she never smiles and when you call to make an appointment she sounds like you are a burden. In person, she sometimes just stares at you like you're crazy after you ask a question. He also had a secretary who seemed like she was in her 80s who was also very rude, but I have heard she is now gone. In any case, having breast cancer you really don't want to feel like your doctor or his staff is neglecting you, and talking to them did make me depressed at times. I really did like Dr. Hampe as a doctor but knowing that he's married to such a horrible, uncaring person makes me wonder about his judgement. Luckily I haven't had to go see him much recently since my checkups have been fine, but if I ever have a serious problem again I am really going to look into getting a new doctor.

I had 5 consecutive surgeries with Dr. Hampe as my situation progressed from biopsy, lumpectomies and eventually mastectomy when multiple tumors were found. Dr Hampe, his wife Robin and their staff were consistently caring, compassionate and available. My mastectomy scar was so small, the nipple reconstruction nearly erased it. Dr Hampe is both technically and emotionally superior to any surgeon I have met. If I ever need it again, I will drive, fly or crawl to get to Plano where Dr Hampe now works regardless of the distance.
