Dr. S. I've never met another doctor like him. He's a true healer because he speaks words of life. He actually listens and is willing to allow different modalities. I have done all natural healing stuff and he's supported me. I can't say enough good about him. I think i've cried from being blessed by his kindness and encouragement every time i've left his office. There's not enough stars to put here for him.

Dr. Smiljanic is truly an amazing human being as well as a doctor who cares so much for his patients and their journey. He is very responsive and offers many options for consideration but also helps to clarify issues that may be confusing. He has kept me alive for over 3 years after the BCCA gave up. I am ever so thankful to him and his wonderful staff, who are so friendly and helpful.

He is the nicest, sweetest and encouraging doctor. He hears me and goes along with my wishes while he expresses gently his own opinions. It sure helps in the battle against cancer.

Dr. Smiljanic has been supporting my health journey for the last 8 years and I also cannot say enough good things about him. I feel extremely grateful to have him as my specialist. Knowledgeable, compassionate, well-rounded, human and open to different therapies. I did take off one star for his punctuality, and I do this a little begrudgingly, as I know when I needed him the most, he sometimes spend extra time with me to address any of my concerns or questions ... so I know that he will take the time to do this with others and I truly respect and appreciate that... so sometimes I may need to wait a little longer, but I believe someone else in their time of need is getting his attention and it is worth the wait.

Don't know about these negative reviews...Dr. Sasha helped my Father live for 3 years after he was told there were no other options by his old doctor. Dr. Sasha is one of the most amazing doctors I have even met. My Mother also has serious medical issues and we are not strangers to the medical system. Even though he is a very very busy specialist, he always took the time to listen to my Father and our family, answered emails at all hours, and if needed would call us to explain visits when myself or my siblings could not attend with our Father. My Father did pass from his cancer, but we were grateful for the time given. Perhaps these negative review reflect the sadness and grief when one passes from cancer, especially when one is taken from us to soon.

Dr Smiljanic completely let my family down in caring for my mom's metastatic cancer. He diagnosed her in Nov 2018 after she had been having symptoms since May. Her symptoms continued to get worse over the next couple of months, including dizziness, headaches, nausea, fatigue. He continuously reported these symptoms were related to her having anxiety. She argued saying she doesn't have anxiety but he did not listen. Turns out the cancer had spread to her meninges and she passed away in March 2019. With her initial diagnosis he said she could live 20 years. She was gone in 4 months. She went into lionsgate hospital early March, the same hospital where he works. She was there for 3 weeks and our family stayed with her around the clock. We were visited by Dr. Smiljanic one time during those 3 weeks, despite him being her primary oncologist. During the one visit he discussed an outlier case of leptomeningeal cancer where the patient lived 5 years. Based on my mom's symptoms at that point it was very unlikely that was her prognosis. While being treated by Dr. Smiljanic she repeatedly said she was being let down by him and the health care system. During our stay with her in the hospital, we saw exactly what she meant.
