He’s a fantastic doctor. My entire family sees him, including our infant son. We’ve been recommended to him by our neighbors and we even recommended our friend’s daughter. He’s very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. I highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Dr. Kallabat for quite some time now and I always leave the office feeling comfortable. He takes the time to thoroughly get to know his patients and explains everything very well. His staff on the other hand are downright rude and unprofessional. They are extremely snarky and never friendly. The only problems I have ever had in this office is because of them. I once got overcharged for my copay by double the amount and the receptionist sat there arguing with me until she realized she was wrong. Another time I get yelled at for not having my insurance card with me even though I've been going here for 4+ years and my insurance never changed. It's little things like this that really aggregate you about your doctor's office. Just a friendly smile when you walk in can make all the difference.

We have been seeing Dr. Kallabat for many years now and I have adored him, but something happened this past week that has left a very bad taste in my mouth. My lab work was ordered Stat and I expected a call from him later that day since as I was in great pain off and on, but I had to go through the weekend. Over the weekend, I started having rapid heartbeat that scared me. I called the Kallabat’s office back Monday at 9am and told them about this along with chest tightness and I also requested my lab results from the prior week. The receptionist said she would have him call me right back. It was 2 hours later and I had to call back. Evidently rapid heartbeat and some chest pain was not important to them. When I called back, the receptionist said didn’t the other girl call you, I said no…… Should I go to the ER am I having a heart attack? The receptionist then gave me my diagnosis and lab results and told me that the doctor already called in a script for an ulcer. (well the script was never called in and after 4 calls back to the office and 2 hours later It finally got called in) I said great what about the rapid heartbeat, the receptionist said that Dr. Kallabat said if your ulcer is bad enough it will cause rapid heart beat. I picked up my scripts and waited 3 more days for the doctor to call me, no call, so I called him to leave a message which was hard with the office staff and finally on the 4th day I was able to speak with him. I agree the office staff really does everything they can to block patients from leaving a message for the doctor to call them. A receptionist should NOT be giving me my diagnosis based on the lab results. Last I checked that was the doctor’s job. Needless to say… I am very sad at this situation. I’m extremely pissed off and I’m deciding whether to switch doctors. One of the reasons we switched to Kallabat was the fact that he had a great office and he was like the small town county doctor that gave you personal attention. Maybe Kallabat is getting way too big for his britches

Office manager is very rude! Very difficult to get a message to the doctor. Medical history is never accurate.

I initially felt Dr Kallabat was a very good physician, he seemed to be very knowledgable but recently, I went in and there was a great deal of confusion, I wanted to speak with him regarding my issue, and I have to agree with posts above, it was difficult to get to speak with him and the front desk lady who checks out patients, screening his calls, was very unprofessional and rude. I have never written a post about anyone, service, or physician I have been seen by, but this incident disturbed me so bad. I could not hold back. Very uncomfortable with this office now, and now looking for new location.

Dr. Kallabat has been out internist and pediatrician for 7 years. I would not see any other doctor for my family. He is there when you need him. He never pushes people out. His time is your time. Ask questions is you have them, state you concerns. He resects other choices and decisions depending on the situation. I would recommend adults and kids go to him. My entire family sees him. It is a great practice to be a part of, once you are to old to see the pediatrician you can still continue to see Dr. Kallabat for the later years. It is great continuity care.

Simply the most inept doctor and office staff I have ever encountered. Rude, unprofessional and downright mean. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!

I have been a patient of Dr Kallabat even before he moved to his new office. I have find his visits extensive. I am a diabetic with other co-existing conditions and he addresses them all. I also inquired about weight loss concerns and he spent extra time informing me of options. I have recommended him to family and friends and they are all happy. Yes he uses the laptop but I am happy as I went to Beaumont EC and my information was there.

He uses his extremely rude receptionist to screen his calls for him. Although nice, he'd rather have you come in every 3 weeks than fix any problem you may have.
