This man performed a neck dissection on me when I was 3 years old. My lymph node in my neck was removed when it turned out I had CSD - something that can be treated through a number of means prior to jumping to the removal of a lymph node. "Surgical drainage or fine-needle aspiration of suppurated lymph nodes is seldom necessary in patients with CSD" and surgery is considered "unnecessary". Neck dissections should be performed when there is the presence of cancerous cells - not CSD.

I had my lymph node removed and not only was I left with a large, obvious scar across my neck, since this point, I struggle to fight off basic infections. LN (lymph nodes) are involved strongly in the induction of immune responses in many different inflammatory conditions, so they play a major life-saving role in infections. I get about 10 flus/strep infections every year and I've occasionally struggled with lymphedema.

Lymph node surgery is known to "compromise the immune system’s strength", which makes this unnecessary procedure all the more heartbreaking. My quality of life has deeply been impacted. My parents should not have trusted this man, and I will continue to pay for his arrogance and poor judgement.

Terrible doctor. Disrespectful, rude and no care for patients. Not sure why you wanted to be a doctor?? Should have been a lawyer with that attitude.

Dr. Warshawski is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He does not mince words (blunt), but very friendly at the same time. Pay no attention to those who have rated him poorly because of his "rudeness." He is NOT rude. Maybe they wouldv'e been better off going to their local spa if they wanted to be pampered. On the other hand, if you want your issues to be fixed, then see Dr. Warshawski. He knows his stuff!!!

I was referred to Dr Warshawski for a thyroid actomy because of Graves' disease. My appointment with him was absolutely amazing! He was very understanding and agreed to everything I said aswell. Right away he gave me the low down on the surgery he was very clear and informative about the complications that can happen. He also took a in office scope to check my vocals cords to make sure they are great condition before he continued the appt. Most surgeon do not this and than when they get into surgery they are going in blind not this doctor he is fully prepared!!! I am super excited that he is doing my surgery for me!! He also helped me be referred to a new endocrinologist because my previous one was a complete rude doctor and screwed up my appointment with Dr Warchawski and gave his office the wrong number for me so they couldn't contact me themselves and my old endo was ignoring there calls. His receptionist/nurse is amazing! After having the miss-hap with my appt she was able to help me out a lot and stayed in the phone with me for 15 minutes figuring it out and calming me down because I was emotional because I've waited a long time to see this doctor. She was amazing and still is with any questions I have since my appt! Would highly recommend this amazing doctor! I have so much confidence for my surgery because he is my surgeon! Keep up the great work Dr warshawski and staff!! You guys are truly life savers!

He removed a tumour I had and did a great job. He's not there to be your best friend , he's there to get the job done. You might have to wait but there's worst things in life.

Dr. Warshawski is the best ENT in the area. If you are fortunate enough to get a referral to him, know that you are receiving the best care possible. He has performed several simple surgeries on my sons ears, and a thyroidectomy on myself. I specifically requested him, and could not imagine trusting anyone else to do the surgery. When you see him it is to benefit from his experience, talent, and knowledge in his field, not a congeniality contest.

I first saw Dr. Joe Warshawski in the early 80's for my second sinus surgery and over the next 20 years for several more. He is a very friendly, professional and knowledgeable man and one of the best in his profession. I returned in 2016 after a long gap only to learn that his specialty is now far beyond my needs. Nevertheless, he met with me twice, ordered a CT scan, and then referred me to Dr. Mechor for help. I am very grateful for Dr. Warshawski 's medical help over the years.
Sadly, I was less impressed with the receptionist who was curt and goofed up my CT scan requisition which lengthened my treatment schedule.

This doctor knows what he's talking about and is better than other ENT doctors I've seen in Calgary. I can see how some may interpret his demeanour as arrogant, but they should really try not to conflate arrogance and correctness. This man knows what he is doing, is precise and professional, and ensures I leave with answers to all of my questions. If you have the pleasure of having him as your doctor, check your ego at the door and let his knowledge and expertise fix your ENT problems, and should feelings get hurt along the way, perhaps ask for a referral to another medical specialty.
