Prescribed antibiotics for a vulnerable family member's cold (that had been present for 10 days, no fever), yet did not see her in person to listen to her lungs, obtain a chest x ray, etc to confirm a bacterial infection. Had no evidence to give antibiotics. So much for antibiotic stewardship - this is why there are increasing rates of antibiotic resistance. Irresponsible prescribing and seemingly poor knowledge of basic, evidence based medical practice. Clearly just writes scripts to get people out of the office so she can move onto the next billing submission!

If you want a warm, friendly Dr who will waste time chatting with you about your personal life, Dr. Elias is not for you. If you instead appreciate someone who gets right down to business and is to the point, she's great. I have been seeing her for years and appreciate this direct, no nonsense attitude. She definitely won't coddle you so if you are looking for someone like that look elsewhere. Her staff is fine, they always return my phone calls and are pleasant both on the phone and in person. Yes, sometimes the wait times in the office are longer than expected when you make an appointment, but that's not unusual for any medical professional anywhere lately.

I had Dr.Elias in 2018/2019 in Oshawa, she was very rude to me and did not regard any of my real concerns. She would ask me about my sexual partners, how often I have sex etc. when this was no where near my reasons to visit. I would be seeing her to have back and feet pain checked out etc and she always brought it back to getting tested for STIs (I have had 1 partner Ive been with for years now and told her that). I went to have a physical done to get my C license in April 2019 and she forced me to get a Pap Test that I didn't ask for or consent to even after I said I didn't want one and had no reason for one. During the test she didn't walk me through what she was doing it and was aggressive, I was sore for several days afterwards. During that test she also commented on how much hair I had and said it was abnormal. Every visit with her was terrible, personally and physically invasive and uncomfortable. After that incident I never saw her again and switched doctors.

I had her when she was in Ajax, Harwood plaza South, then she came to Oshawa North, Shoppers Drug Mart. I do not recommend her in any ways, she does not care about you nor your family members health. She is bias and does not give you enough information about your treatment. Neither does she follow up on your concerns.

DO NOT RECOMMEND AS A DOCTOR!!! Does not answer phone calls at all, I have been calling for a solid 2 weeks now and still hasn't answered the phone for my MRI I had done 3 weeks ago!! Does not care about her well being of patients and after reading more about reviews, it is a common trait. Will be reporting her from with holding information of my well being of health. Does not care about her job since she is always on vacation even in a pandemic.

Has been my family doctor for over a decade. She does not remind patients of booster due or next injection due for vaccines. I booked a physical exam and nothing was done, she did not physically exam me whatsoever. I've made phone appointments with her and she does not follow up, waited weeks. She doesn't seem to care about critical values. No health education provided or resources for additional help. Poor instructions provided, recommendations with no guidance. Overall not a holistic or basic caring doctor for this generation. Does not seem to enjoy what she does. Always on vacation when I call to book. Would highly NOT recommend for a family doctor.

She is very thorough which can likely come off to many as unnecessary or over cautious but I personally appreciate that she runs every test she can to ensure nothing is missed. Bed side manner and staff are fine.

As other reviews stated, she is direct and not a chatty Kathy. I find her bed side manner to be perfectly fine. Wait times are not THAT bad. Stellar review from me mostly because she is very accommodating and she listens.

I've had a great experience. I recently switched to her as my family doctor and I haven't had an issue. Yes the wait time can be ridiculous but she is a great doctor. I left my old family doctor because he kept trying to put me on antidepressants when I continuously said no. Dr. Elias listened to me and sent me for many tests to find out what was going on with my body. She even did a follow up after finding out the results. I feel safe in her hands.
