I feel this doctor lacks good communication skills. I feel like she might just want us to do a simple TSH test. When she heard other reasonable requests, she reacted so strongly that her voice became harsh. During the whole process, she did not listen carefully to my situation, and spent a large part of her time asking me to find a family doctor or other doctors, which was baffling. Can such a large hospital only do TSH testing? However, after reading the reviews from other patients, don't come to her even if you are sick. With more treatment, the condition may get worse and she will only be able to deal with simple issues.

I am going to switch to another clinic. Dr. Kumar’s nurse Blessing is rude, talks to you (and her nurse in training) like you are stupid and is not very helpful. My appointment took a really long time and Dr. Kumar did not give me the time of day. She tried to pop in and out and seemed annoyed when I asked a question. She also said I should come back in a few weeks because she assumes I’ll have to go on insulin (I have gestational diabetes) which has huge ramifications on where, with whom and how I can give birth. She said it flippantly as she walked out of the room which is so dismissive and insulting. When I asked if there was anything about my specific case to indicate or make her think that she said “well 50% of patients do so I assume you will”. Mentally that’s the last thing I needed to hear- and also I’m not a statistic I’m a person and I don’t think she actually took the time to pay attention to my personal case. She informed me of nothing and did not explain anything to me. I would not go to her if I was you.

They have no follow up or care for the patient. They cannot provide answers and basically blamed my wife for looking for a reason for her miscarriages as they didn't monitor her and refused to medicate her as per our first child. Find another place that you are not just a number, as this office doesn't care about the patients.

It’s horrible service as they don’t provide follow up with their patients. It’s been more than 6 months since I was last diagnosed and despite my effort to connect with the doctor, there is nothing.

When I saw this doctor at Women's College I came in with TSH at 4.53. People with Hashimoto's, which she didn't even recognize and called hypothyroidism, should be below 3 or even 2.5. What did she do instead of dealing with T3? She raised my Synthroid (mostly T4) medication over a 6 month period. My test results alerted her in May, July and September and she still kept raising the medication, refusing to admit it was the wrong approach until my TSH was at over 15.5. Total malpractice. I finally left because I was only sleeping 2 hours a night. I made a complaint and physicians backed her. On top of it, she was regularly 2 hours behind schedule. Absolutely a horrible and dumb doctor. The T4-T3-TSH feedback loop is grade 10 bio.

Started me on insulin for the 1st time ever in March of this year and than gave me a follow up appointment with an NP at the end of July. Seriously? The COVID restrictions were easing up and other doctors were seeing me in person. Now I have an appointmentto see her in October. That does not seem to me like adequate follow up for my diabetes.

I've been a patient of Dr Kumar's for 3+ years. I really don't know what prior people are talking about in terms of generic protocol etc. She has been nothing but thorough, while very caring and respectful with me. Other doctors who had dismissed symptoms that were causing me great distress, she was the one to take seriously, address and help treat - successfully. She's helped with my migraine therapy, advanced age pregnancy, PCOS. She's really wonderful.
