Dr McCall is a most interesting man He sincerely listens when I am answering his questions. His treatments of my hips, knees and feet are bang on and the pain relief lasts for roughly 3 weeks. Then back I go until my turn to receive new hips and knees.

The best doctor I have ever been to. He has helped me, my husband and my son over the years and really listens to your problems. I consider him to be a talented, wonderful man who is devoted to healing.

Dr McCall was awesome. I only had to wait a couple months for surgery when another family member was still waiting over a yr in Barrie. He was very interested in what was going on with my pain and recovery. He would tell me stories of his younger years while keeping my mind off of the pain while taking out my pins in my toes. His staff especially Michelle was awesome. I'm glad he finally retires so he can enjoy life!!!!

Dr McCall is an amazing doctor and surgeon. He listens to all of my concerns and legitimately wants what's best for you. He makes sure you understand what he's saying and is sympathetic without coddling. He is incredibly intelligent and is willing to share his knowledge. I'm very grateful that he was my surgeon.

I had such a long wait for local doctors. Six months and not even a call back to book appointment and no mri in sight. DrMcCall fixed my sons shoulder a year previous. Son suggested i see if i could get and appointment. I called and had an appointment within a month and operation booked within two months during xmas holidays. Jan 29 2019 i had shoulder surger to remove a piece of broken bone that was tearing tissue. The surgery went so well and staff was very attentive! This man has made my should back to 100%. So sad that he is gone. I wish him luck and hope he knows im wish he hadnt retired! Thank you

I wouldn't trust this dinosaur with a can opener.
His time management of appointments is abysmal - read non-existent.
His only suggestion to me in hospital was "take up knitting"!!
With a fractured pelvis and shoulder my "follow up " appointment to fracture clinics would find me sitting in the waiting room for up to FIVE HOURS, while he chit chatted with staff and patients' parents and colleagues. So for a 2pm appointment, he didn't see me until 7:00 pm.. the last hour sitting and waiting in the examination room.
He Forgot to order the xray, so once I was called up they had to rush to see if the staff in xray were even still there at 4:30 p.m. If not, that appointment would have been useless.
He told me surgery would rarely be of use in the case of my shoulder -- besides he was going on holiday and would see me again in September. His diagnosis would have had me constrained to maybe 50% use of my right (dominant) arm!!! Like waiting 7 months before considering a reconstructive remedy would have helped in any way!!
He sneared and derided me when I asked to be referred to another actual orthopaedic surgeon who had treated my husband previously.
After the referral I was immediately booked for surgery and followup physiotherapy which has regained 100% of the use of my right arm! I was kayaking, canoe tripping (note paddling) and back doing my long distance (~3-5 km at a stretch) open water swimming (lots of front crawl and breast stroke) before the end of the summer!!
His attitude was totally dismissive and disrespectful and the nurses in the hospital could not deal with his ornery and self-importance. They totally agreed that he should have been retired at least a decade before. Finally, I believe he has finally retired.

I had an MTP fusion in February 2021. Dr McCall has been wonderfully kind and taken great care of me. It was worth the long wait to become his patient.

God Bless Dr. McCall and the staff at Collingwood General and Marine. They were all there in my time of need. I suffered a broken Fib & Tib. Most people will never realize how lucky they are to receive medical care until your time of need. Dr. McCall was courteous, professional and cares about his patients. I will forever be in gratitude to Dr. McCall.
