I had terrible allergies when moving back to Tennessee after many years away. Everything blooms here for months, which is nice except for sinuses. I also had a septum problem blocking sinuses on the left side of my nose. Needless to say, difficult breathing and sinus infections with headaches were problematic. I had to have and Excedrin every morning, and bouts of antibiotics at times, flonase all the time. In discussion with my primary doctor after 3 years, she referred me to have a sinus CT scan for ENT and referred to Dr Converse. He was so nice and very attentive and understood completely what I had been going through.. Sending the CT scan to his office ahead was helpful to give him a better idea of the whole picture. So we scheduled the sinus surgery first to see if that would fix my problem and it helped so much., except the left side would still stop up against the septum, so after 3 months he did the septum surgery. Did not need but 1 pain pill with each surgery. I was amazed and very happy with results. Dr. Converse is very wise, conservative and skilled surgeon. He is always upbeat and happy and outgoing in my experience. I highly recommend Dr. Converse! I never met another doctor like him!

I was left with no ENT after my regular doctor left town. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Converse; I really feel as though he has become overwhelmed, he continually asks me the same questions over and over. I am a miniere's patient since 2011, I have been clinically diagnosed at 2 locations one at Vanderbilt yet he always asks me how do you know that you have miniere's? What ear is it in? How do you know? The man has my records in hand, read them. I am very unhappy with him and am planning to look elsewhere for help. He obviously doesn't have time for me.

I had deviated septum repair and removal of deep sinus polyps. I was placed on antibiotics by several other doctors for more than 3 months to no avail and felt like I was drowning because of the massive infection in my sinus cavities. Although I realize medical care is controlled by one's insurance company, Dr. Converse did a CT scan, showed me the results and set me up for surgery to repair the deviated septum and clear out the backed up sinus cavities. Dr. Converse is knowledgeable, wise, and a most excellent surgeon. His attitude towards his patients is one of compassion unlike many others who are condescending. His enjoyment of his vocation is readily visible in the way he approaches patient care. He listens to everything the patient says and asks questions. He is quite simply the best.

DR CONVERSE IS A FINE ENT, HOWEVER, THE FRONT DESK STAFF, NOT SO FRIENDLY, NOR ARE THEY OVER THE PHONE. WHEN YOU HAVE A SICK CHILD, THE LAST THING ONE WANTS IS A RECEPTIONIST THAT HAD BURNT TOAST FOR BREAKFAST.......I DO HAVE TO SAY DR CONVERSE KNOWLEDGE STILL OUT WEIGHTS HIS RUDE STAFF!!

The staff was rude, Dr. Converse barely talked to me after making me go through 3 appointments, each time telling me to try another allergy pill when I already told him that I had tried many medications and none worked. I am on allergy shots, so I'm already getting help with my allergies. Each visit costed a lot, and I had to wait at least an hour each time. It was just a way to get more money out of me before he finally said I needed ear tubes. I said that I needed that from the beginning. I didn't end up getting the surgery b/c I did not feel comfortable with Dr Converse or his staff.

Dr. Converse is a fine physican, his office staff however, is the most unprofessional collection of bummblers I've ever has the displeasure of dealing with.

Great Doctor, very helpful and willing to take the time for explanation. Taken both my children to him for tubes. One set of tubes for the youngest and 2 sets of tubes and adenoid removal for the oldest. Both 5 or under when done. Much pleased.
