I was a study patient of his about 2 1/2 years ago so I can't speak about Dr. Rivers as my regular Dermatologist. He seemed kind when I saw him. After that time I'm still getting occasional flashbacks of the posters on the wall of his medical wing. I'm not a fussy person at all - I find that large posters advertising cosmetic procedures on the wall of a medical floor to be unacceptable. I now that's what goes on in these offices but don't put them on a medical floor. They are probably upsetting to other medical patients as well

Dr. Rivers is the dermatologist you want and need to see! He is knowledgeable, professional, personable and has excellent judgment. He will have you looking and feeling your best. I have seen him for decades and I have recommend him to members of my family and my friends. Every one of them has had a similarly excellent experience.

He has developed a line of skin care products that are effective and never irritate my super sensitive skin. I recommend them as well and they are available both online and in his office.

Dr. Rivers is kind and incredibly patient. A great sense of humour too! I never felt rushed during my appointment. He removed a subcutaneous "bump" from my head and I could not be more pleased with the procedure. He's the best!

How does one add to greatness? I wholeheartedly agree with all the comments from those before me. I relate to each person's comments. I simply cannot say more. It's all been said. No inflated egos here! There's a kindness, gentleness, honesty, knowledge and professionalism that is really hard to beat. Dr. Rivers certainly has my respect.

I've been a patient of Dr. Rivers for many years, he is incredible and truly the best in his field! He is kind, honest and professional. He concentrates on a very sublte and natural look when using botox and fillers. I've seen him for various treatments, and have always had the most pleasing results (I look well rested and like myself). I have been extremely impressed with the quality of service and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff are also lovely and so helpful.

Biography

Jason K. Rivers, MD, FRCPC, FAAD Dr. Jason Rivers is a Clinical Professor of dermatology and past director of the dermatology residency program at the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, University of British Columbia. He has lectured and published extensively on skin cancer and devoted significant efforts to research and collaboration on various government and industry-sponsored initiatives in prevention and treatment. Dr. Rivers practices medical and aesthetic dermatology at Pacific Dermaesthetics in downtown Vancouver and is the developer and founder of Riversol Skin Care. His dedication to excellence in patient care and clinical skills has earned him recognition by being the recipient of Canada’s “Best Doctors” award for a number of years. For his volunteer efforts and contributions, he was awarded the Canadian Dermatology Association's Award of Merit in 2016. Dr. Rivers demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for writing and research, culminating in literary contributions of more than 150 articles and book chapters. He is Editor Emeritus of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, the official publication of the Canadian Dermatology Association. He is the current President of the Acne and Rosacea Society of Canada and the immediate Past President of the Canadian Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Furthermore, Dr. Rivers has been an expert peer-reviewer or editorial board member for major dermatology journals, including the British Journal of Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and JAMA Dermatology (formerly Archives of Dermatology). Dr. Rivers has been a primary investigator for numerous clinical studies in both medical and aesthetic dermatology, including psoriasis, actinic keratosis, skin cancer, neuromuscular blocking agents, injectable fillers, and non-invasive body contouring with both Coolsculpting and Liposonix.
