Dr.Mcdonald did my double jaw surgery in Jan 2019, 5 years later I am still amazed and content with my results. His bedside manners, pre and post op check ups were very thorough, kind and to the point. Before my DJS he also removed my wisdom teeth in office and it was a walk in the park it took maybe 10 minutes I was super impressed. He is the best surgeon and highly recognized in the practice for a reason!

Dr. McDonald was fantastic. He took out two of my wisdom teeth right during COVID and was compassionate especially about my fears surrounding dental surgery. He let my mom be in the room the entire time he was taking my teeth out, and he popped them out in 20 minutes. Had virtually no pain and was bike riding later that day! Absolutely great guy, would totally recommend!

Dr. McDonald is the best Oral Surgeon in the lower mainland. I had work done over 25 years ago and still holding strong. He is a true professional, kind, reassuring, and, very caring. I highly recommend Dr. Wm. McDonald.

Dr McDonald took out two of my wisdom teeth two years ago and everything went seamlessly. Took out my teeth in 20 minutes and had no additional problems and didn't have to rely on medication at all after the procedure. Would recommend for wisdom teeth removal.

Just the best….
January 5th, 2021 I was ushered into the surgery by competent, friendly professional staff. Dr McDonald arrived on time, confirmed the procedure and the 6 teeth to be extracted. I found him to be outgoing, friendly with an easy demeanour. Dr. McDonald remained talking to me while the freezing was completed. He has an excellent “chair side manner” with a quick wit , easy to talk to and a calming manner, as an 82 year old male this was appreciated. I was not sedated.
During the procedure he often enquired to ensure I was not suffering pain with a view to stopand correct the source immediately… never felt pain during the entire surgery. He would time to time give a progress report. This was followed by an oral and written comprehensive follow up procedure including personal emergency contact numbers.
In summation, a very successful pain free surgery which started on time, doesn’t get any better. I highly recommend the services of Dr. Wm R. McDonald a capable, caring thoughtful individual. I was 120% satisfied with my surgery thanks to this group of professionals.

The man is a legend. I asked my dentist to send me to the best oral surgeon that he knew, to have 4 wisdom teeth removed in my 40's. He was very kind, knowledgeable, professional, and accessible. His office staff were very organized, punctual, and friendly. They knew exactly what was going on, and put me on the phone to Dr. McDonald when I had questions. He was happy to take my call, and not rushed on the phone. This is where Drs., and their friends and family go when they need an oral surgeon. He is one of the only surgeons that can even perform certain surgeries in the city. The wisdom teeth removal was complicated, but he did it in his office, while I was not sedated, and it went perfectly. I had what I thought was some inflammation about a year later, and he fit me in the office the next morning (no charge). Thank you!

Had surgery for my overbite, really happy with the results. He is really knowledgeable and professional, apparently he has quite a good reputation in the dental world, everyone I know who has had the surgery went to him. He explained in great detail of what to expect after surgery, the numbness in my chin went away completely, but it did take a while for full feeling to return. The recovery for jaw surgery is no walk in the park though, unpleasant for a weeks after and you're super hungry because your can't eat properly yet, but it was all worth it, the few weeks of unpleasantness are way better than using headgear and to have permanent results and no overbite. Highly recommend Dr McDonald and this procedure.
