This jerk repeatedly told me I was constipated when I complained about bad cramps and severe belly pain. Six months later he told me I had cervical cancer! I then required a complete hysterectomy, but the surgery fortunately was performed by another doctor. This man could have killed me if I hadn't persisted and gotten checked and re-checked!

Dr. Steinberg makes himself readily available to patients, and his assistant is very helpful. On a number of occasions I've felt he was distracted and rushing with the appointment. However, he is very thorough otherwise, and as far as tests go he will make sure to look into all of the possibilities, and cover the bases. This might scare patients who are fearing bad scenarios, but in the long run it's beneficial for them to get a solid diagnosis. He has a good bedside manner, in terms of being conversational.

overly familiar, too casual in touching me as he spoke, moved my body rather than asking me to move. during a very painful procedure he repeatedly said he was finish, it was over, when he was obviously not finished and it wasn't over. he gave me his card and asked me to email him for my results. i was too creeped out by him. i had my gp contact him for the results. i also had my gp note in my file never to refer me to him again. he said his nurse had said the same thing.

Seeing a gynecologists is not a pleasant experience. Dr. Steinberg has the proven ability of putting his patient's at ease. He will EXCEED your expectations.

With the help of Dr. Steinburg; both mentally and physically, we finally became the proud parents of a healthy baby girl in Aug '07; following multiple miscarries. I honestly cannot thank him enough; he's amazing.

Dr. Steinberg is, in my opinion the 'best' ob/gyn in Toronto. His manner puts you at ease from the moment you walk into his office, he's a great listener and a wonderful diagnostician...has a terrific sense of humour and always makes even the worst possible scenario sound less than one's imagination in the heat of the moment. A great guy, a kind and thoughtful person.

Dr. Steinberg is a wonderful doctor with a good sense of humor and lots of compassion. I tend to be very nervous but he makes me feel comfortable and reassured. He is quick, but very thorough.
