One of my doctors recommended her to me (after finding her on google) awhile back. I was new to the area and didn't know of any other therapists. It was a huge mistake, because she is horrible. Her website information idicated she accepts insurance and when I got there she told me she didn't want to take my insurance (BCBS) because she didn't feel like it. I didn't understand why she indicated she accepted insurance if she didn't want to accept it, and she actually tried to make me feel guilty because I wanted her to just take my insurance information and process it. She didn't listen to me, she didn't offer any techniques to help me. She just sat there looking at her watch. I have never seen a more uninterested "doctor" in my life. When she spoke to me it was in a rude, exasperated tone - as if my being there was anoying her. After this experience I will never go to another therapist because I don't want to be put in that kind of situation again. I would never recommend her to anyone.

A wonderful psychologist, she really helped me. I had been to other therapists who were a waste of time. Dr. Dorfman is caring, smart, and taught me techniques which helped me reach goals I had tried to reach for years. She spent a lot of time on the phone with me before I ever went to see her. She went out of her way to help a friend of mine in another state to find a psychologist.

She is not very receptive, did not call back till a day later after we tried to beocme new patients and she according to our insurance company she indicated that she was accepting new patients however told us to find a new thearapist as she did not have any time for us.
