I had nasal polyps removed by another surgeon several years ago and it was the worst experience in my life. When they reoccurred I went to Dr Mendelsohn. Repeat surgery was inevitable but I put it off way too long (the polyps were bulging out the side of my nose, almost 100% blockage) due to my previous experience. I regret waiting though because there was a night and day difference with Dr Mendelsohn - no pain, no packing, and excellent post surgery care with a real focus on prevention. When I woke up from the surgery I took a breath through my nose for the first time in a year's and there was no pain and it made me cry. The nurse asked if I was OK and was surprised when I said I was awesome. I really could not have asked for better care.

I have been seeing dr.mendelsohn on and off for some time now and I have no issues with the doctor or his staff. Dr.Mendelsohn is a friendly and knowledgeable individual and his front desk staff is more than helpful. Regarding the other comments below-I have always been on time and presented my health coverage no matter which medical office I attend-its common sense I would think. The front desk ladies in this office have always helped me and provided me with more than enough info. when requested. And yes all offices will have busy phone lines and might not have a voicemail, but everyones life is busy and we ourselves cannot do 10things at once. In all-many thanks to the doctor and his lovely staff for their help.

Worst receptionists and staff I've ever come across. They probably hate their job and take it out on all their clients. They ganged up on me because i was 5 minutes late and kept repeating it like I was in highschool. She was also very rude to me over the phone prior to the appointment which is extremely hard to get as they rarely answer the phone!!!! Never going back and will make sure my physician doesn't recommend her patients to this clinic. It's sad, cause Dr. Mendelsohn may be too fast in explaining procedures to his patients, but he is a good doctor. He needs to change his staff though!

Difficult to get through to the office. You will most often get a recording asking that you call back as messages are not accepted. I logged 30 calls between 10 and 11:30 before someone answered and this was a day that Dr Medelsohn was not even in the office seeing patients! Both times that I attended, I found the receptionist to be rude and uninterested in dealing with more than one patient that came through while I waited. Both times they were running behind. Dr was apologetic for the delay. He was kind and knowledgeable. I doubt he is fully aware of the way his front staff are conducting themselves.

After reading some of the reviews, I decided to call the office a couple of days before my initial visit to 1. confirm my appointment and 2. to see if someone was going to take my call. I was pleasantly impressed with the professionalism and the great help the receptionist who answered my calls all 4x had over the phone. I found her to be patient and very helpful with my questions and concerns. On my appointment day, I walked in and was greeted by the receptionist in a very friendly and well mannered way. Upon meeting with Dr. , I found him to very respectful and knowledgeable, he even apologized for being 5 minutes late, which took me by surprise. I have never had a doctor/ specialist be apologetic. My overall experience was amazing, both Dr. Mendelsohn and staff are very friendly individuals. Great environment. I would definitely recommend him.

Staff are unprofessional and lack maturity (i.e. watching videos and on personal cells phones while people are waiting to be seen or checked in). At one point there were 10 people in line; (including an elderly gentleman that had issues standing), all the while the receptionists were taking phone calls or socializing amongst themselves with one intermittently checking patients in for their appointments. Wait times are excessive. I noticed that patients are consistently double booked for the same time slot (yes, I was there long enough to notice that). Doctor is nice enough but seemed rushed. Hospital wait time for biopsy is 2.5 months (part of the delay is with the doctor being on holidays). When I asked if it was possible that he defer to a colleague due to the wait time+holidays, the receptionist's response was, "This is his practice so why would he refer you elsewhere?", and "Are you saying he is not entitled to a vacation?". Like I said, UNPROFESSIONAL and immature.

Excellent Experience. I was seen about 30 minutes late but I didn't mind. He listens, answered all of my questions to my satisfaction and had great manners. He gave you the impression that he cares and I didn't feel rushed. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely see him again.

Our experience with Dr.Mendelsohn was a pleasant one. He removed my daughter's anoids and tonsils. From the intitial appointment to the surgery he was very kind and comforting towards my daughter. He explained things to us and made us feel comfortable. The surgery went exceptionally well. The only frustrating experience is trying to get through to the office by phone. It is almost impossible to get through on the phone and no option to leave a message. The staff at the front office are not the nicest but have experienced worse.
