His secretary is the WORST UNprofessional I have had to deal with. I am a worker in the healthcare industry, not a patient. Since this secretary came on board (who replaced an angel), referrals are missed, fall through the cracks, and delays are filled with excuses always blaming either the referring physicians office or the patient Before this secretary, I had a seamless telephone relationship with the previous admin staff. Considering we spoke every couple of days, we were always professional, kind and helpful to one another. She felt like a coworker even though we have never met. This new one is the complete opposite. Her voice screams " I hate my job and I hate you too!" She is rude and awful to speak with. Since her arrival, it seems everything has gone downhill. What was once once of the most organised and efficient offices to refer to, has now because a black hole of lost referrals and BS excuses from her.

Dr. Stimac is abrupt, distant and dismissive. He doesn't explain anything unless you ask and advocate for yourself. He is also incredibly rude to his staff. I overhead him swearing at them when a patient was late for their appointment. I have switched to a more compassionate specialist. I have never rated a Dr before but felt this one is justified.

I contacted doctor's office at 3:15 this Friday afernoon on December the 3rd, and briefly was put on hold. Afterwards, when asked to schedule an appointment was told it can't be done today but should expect to get a call from them next week. I asked what's preventing him (an office administrator, I assume) to look up the schedule right now, the answer was, 'Because we are to close soon"
I laughed at the whole situation; here I am , reading these comments, and hear that response.
Sorry Dr.Stimac , I was not given a chance to build my own opinion about you; but am rating you a Zero for having such an unprofessional employee.

Great Doctor! My aortic valve required replacing. He made sure I got a great surgeon and he has provided me with outstanding after care ever since. I see him twice a year for an echo and follow up. Front line staff not so great....really disorganized and too abrupt!!

My father was his patient. He had an ICD implant because he suffered from a heart attack a few years back, so we knew he was not in a good shape. However he was able to do his daily routines since then. Beginning of this year, his leg swelling got much worse, and he wasn't able to walk for more than 5 minutes. He asked Dr. Stimac a number of times whether his heart is getting significantly worse. He said "your heart is fine, and whatever you're getting is not because of your heart". and changed his medication a few times. When my father asked more questions, he did not answer them. Shortly after he was admitted with sepsis, (he got it because his immune system got really weak). Doctors at Hamilton General said his heart got much worse compared to last year, and the reason he was getting sicker was that his blood wasn't able to pump blood to his organs. They also told us the medication he was taking was the strongest that is available to people like him. He passed away after 5 days. If we knew what state was he in, our loss wouldn't have been so unexpected. Not sure whether he lied to make him feel better, but that isn't what we expect from a doctor.

Saw this excellent cardiologist & his knowledgeable team this morning for my annual assessment. I am 71 years old, battling several aging issues (as well as terminal leukemia). I don't know why so many people have written "trashy" ratings about Dr. Stimac and his office team, but reading these dismissive comments is so unfair. Makes me wonder if these whiners and complainers, having not taken healthy care of themselves for decades (? too many calories, too much smoking, too much booze, too much physical lethargy...), get some kind of wicked glee from blaming their cardiologist for all their own health woes. Take a good long look in the mirror if you dare, and challenge yourself to make incremental health choices in your life. Hamilton has a shortage of Cardiologists, so grow up people! Be grateful you don't live in a 3rd world country where heart specialists are scarce. I found Dr. Stimac's office to be clean, not crowded and pandemic appropriate. Staff were personable, friendly, respectful and professional. More importantly, Dr. Stimac and his front line staff "have heart" and show it to all of their patients. He's a heart-to-heart guy, he's there for your health, not his health or his pocketbook. Please, no more abusive outrageous put downs about this Cardiologist with high integrity.

I have been seeing this Doctor for almost 20 years since my aortic valve required replacing. He made sure I got a great surgeon and he has provided me with outstanding after care ever since. I see him and his staff twice a year for an echo and follow up. I find him to the point and helpful and has always answered any questions clearly. The staff does a great job.

Did an echo there n felt... weird while in the room with the guy. Very uncomfortable atmosphere. And the doctor is too much in a hurry. Saw me for less than 5 secs. Literally.

Stay away, He doesn't care about your health. All he wants is to put you through unnecessary testing (so he can get his $$$) and then he doesn't even want to tell you the results. Told me everything was fine in less than 2 secs after I waited over 45 mins to see him. I asked my doctor for a 2nd opinion because I know there is something wrong with me, and I need a doctor that will at least listen to my symptoms and my history. The other clinic did another test and had to send me for an urgent CT and angiogram. I hope he gets in trouble to miss-diagnosing me. They asked for my records from him and hope they figure out how it got from " Im fine" to " you need an urgent angiogram" within a couple of weeks. Unless you want to feed his wallet, stay away!!
