She was amazing with my child. He has had leukaemia and terrible pain from osteonecrosis. She explained this complication that we had not really understood from oncology and provided treatment with pamidronate. Our son is now pain free. We are so impressed by this doctor. Thank you so much.

Incredibly dedicated. Great with all kids and took the time to get to know everyone. Very thorough exam and was willing to thoroughly explain things as well as find a solution that worked for you. Very knowledgeable and kept up with research. Really great doc!

Dr.Miertunen diagnosed me with juvenile dermatomyositis in the children's hospital in 08 when I was 16 for months no one could figure out what was wrong with me, thanks to Dr miettunen and her team I was quickly started on a treatment plan and and went into rendition about 4 years later. I've since moved to the adult clinic but wanted to thank Paivi for all her help.

Amazing woman who went above and beyond in trying to help us find a diagnosis for our daughter. honest and up front she has an incredible way of putting children at ease and even had us giggling a few times. she ran late because she took so much time with us although we could not pin point a diagnosis she gave us hope and helped ease the frustration we had with some of the other team members

What an amazing dr. She puts kids at ease and helps them to become responsible for their own care and take ownership so kids feel comfortable and confident. Getting my daughter to her regualr appointments would be impossible if it weren't for getting to see Dr. M. My daughter even wrote a MY HERO report in school about this dr. We feel so lucky to have been sent to this dr when my daughter was diagnosed with an agressive form of JRA.

She was amazing! After the fear of being told our daughter may have bone cancer, Dr. Miettunen was able to see that she didn't, but actually had a very rare Genetic Disorder, Familial Mediteranian Fever and Arthritis. She took the time to accurately check the tests, and talk to us. Very beautiful lady both inside and out! Thank you & God bless!

Thorough, competent, empathetic, friendly, professional, patient, respectful, knowledgeable. We can't say enough about this Dr. and how she has treated and helped our 2 year old son. We highly recommend her. Our son loves her too!
