I was a patient of Dr. Stel for a few years, he basically kept me alive long enough to be able to make a life of my own. I am no longer homeless have a family and became a productive member of society and making a difference in my community.

Dr.Stel is an outstanding addictions doctor. The Sts pain pharmacy is the best addiction pharmacy. If you go there, they give you $20 for your methadone prescription.

Dr. Stel is by far the best doctor I have ever come across in my 36 years on this planet, he has gone above and beyond to help me, he has taken me back as a patient when he was more than full and I cannot say enough good things about this Doc and his kind caring nature. He is knowledgeable, he is smart, and he takes the time to listen. He really cares about his patients and it shows. It’s too bad there are not more Dr. Stels out there!

He is one of the best, most compassionate Dr.'s there is. I have had him return calls in his private time. He called me when I had an emergency and lived in Alberta and was no longer my Dr. He does everything he can, but he does have some additional time off to help the homeless. He has the most empathy and compassion you will find in our medical system. Truly!!!

Dr Stel is what everyone hopes in a doctor, and indeed he surpasses expectations. He is extremely knowledgeable, his treatment effect and most importantly, his kindness and understanding supports his medical process. I feel fortunate to have Dr Stel as my physician.

this doctor is in only on thurs mornings each week and is away quite often on holidays. he cannot help unless it is in his best interest and not mine. spends all the time looking at the computer monitor which is a distraction from looking at me and really listening to my problem. medications he prescribed were of no effect and due to my calendar of events and his only being there thurs mornings - its not possible to see him more that once in 2 - 3 months.

Dr. Stel is the Kindest,Warmest, Best Doctor I have ever had!! So helpful and concerned. Often have to wait but this has a big payoff, because he actually listens!! I Trust him 100 percent. Very Knowledgeable.

Dr Stel is covering Dr Beckett’s practise who, with wife Heather, is taking a well earned month long holiday. I have felt so fortunate to be a patient of Dr Beckett over the last 5 years. Both he and Heather are two of the most compassionate and knowledgeable people I have ever met in the medical field. I was very nervous at the thought of not being able to reach out to either of them whilst they are on holiday. I find it absolutely amazing that they were able to leave their patients with the only Dr I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a patient of who matches in both compassion and knowledge with the Beckett’s. I was feeling so lost and scared when I reached out but the woman I spoke to was able to calm me down by reassuring me I would be speaking to the Dr Stel within a couple of hours! I was absolutely convinced that I might have to wait days before speaking to him. When he called me in less than 30 minutes I was so incredibly grateful I initially had difficulty even speaking. We spoke for more than a half an hour and I felt like he would have kept speaking to me for hours if that was what it was going to take for me to understand that I was in the hands of an extremely knowledgeable Dr who actually did care. That was yesterday and I’m still almost speechless when I think of how desperate I was when I made the call to how comfortable I was to be in the hands of such an amazing Dr. I will never be able to explain the relief I experienced with those two incredible people. All I can really say is thank you but I hope they understand the depth of my gratitude.
