Dr. Woollam was our GP. since 1976, excellent Doctor. He was the one that diagnosed my wife with ovarian cancer (2010) at the time of when he couldn't treat female patients. Bad timing for my wife who had passed 4 yrs. later. Another time when he diagnosed me with double pneumonia in time. Dr. Woollam was a person I could speak to about my wife's cancer and the support he offered our family. The profession lost a good physician. I cannot comment about what happened, I can only say that he was a good Doctor and I hope that he's enjoying his retirement.

He was our family doctor for over 30 years and we feel that the profession has lost a caring wonderful Doctor. We hope Robin can put his bad experience behind him and keep his good memories of all the families that had the utmost respect for him and that he has a happy retirement. Thanks for all your support over the years!

Can't sleep tonight. My health is really going downhill. I haven't had a physical exam since my last one with Dr. Woollam in 2010. I just roam from one walk-in clinic to another to get prescriptions refilled. Just checked the CPSO website and saw the devastating news that Dr. Woollam will never practice medicine again. I guess in my heart I knew this would be the outcome but I really hoped I would see him again. He is the only good doctor that I have ever had.

I have worked for Dr. Woollam and, as a female, never once felt threatened by him. He is the sweetest, most caring, humble man you could meet. I don't know about the accusation against him, and can only judge him from what I've seen. I've never received an unkind word from him, and even during harder times he acted admirably and kept his head held high. I have been treated by him, and by most of the other doctors in that office. Dr. Woollam treated my mother, too, and she says he was the best she's seen. He knows when to joke around and when to be a serious doctor. He cares and understands each of his patients, and always makes them feel welcome. As a doctor, I've only heard good things (with the one exception). As a person, he's even better. I hope he knows how many of his patients continue to tell me they want him back. He has the best online doctor ratings I've seen. Unlike many of the others who use the books, he uses his head.

I have written to the CPSO and so far no response (it has been several weeks). I am stuck. I do not want a new doctor. I want Dr. Woollam, the best doctor I have ever had and I tried a lot of them before I found Dr. Woollam. What can we do?

I encourage every female patient to email CSPD "feedback@cpsd.on.ca" their concerms and to rate Robin. Like the others, I am a long time patient for over 30 years and do not wish to see anyone else. I would like to know how long I will be discriminated against & denied access to my family doctor. I believe that this is a free country and that it is the patient who should decide if they wish to continue seeing Dr Woollam after being notified not CPSD! I understand that a complaint has been logged and I have been notified by letter by Dr Woollam. I am willing to sign a waiver stating that I understand this situation and wish to continue seeing Dr. Woollam. I can't understand why the CPSO has dragged its heels to put this complaint to rest and allow this great family doctor to resume his female practice.

Dr. Woolam had been my doctor for 35 years when I was told he could no longer treat women. Even though I have moved out of his area I did not look for a more convenient doctor. I very much look forward to the time his full priviledges are reinstated and he can be my doc again. He is great.

My family have been patients of Dr. Woollam for over 30 years. I am shocked to learn that someone has lodged a complaint against him. To think that I have to now find a new doctor to look after me (at my age) but my husband can still him, is ludicrous. I believe that I have the right to still see him. He has always treated me with the upmost respect and dignity. All thou I only see him once a year for a physical and he knows how nervous I get, he has always taken the time to calm me down. Let's all of us rally together and get this restiction taken off his license. This is a big disservice to all his women patients. I look forward to the day that I can once again shake his hand and say THANK YOU!!!!!!

My Husband and I have been patients of Dr. Woollam since he started his practice about 33yrs. ago. Our son age 31 has been visiting since he was born and our daughter was brought into this world by Dr. Woollam. Our Daughter, husband and 2yr. old daughter have since joined Dr. Woollam. We as a family are totally shocked to learn that there could be a complaint lodged against our wonderful Family Physician. Dr. Woollam has always conducted himself in a professional manner. He has wonderful bedside manner and is a very caring individual. As a family we have the greatest confidence with the decisions he has made concerning our good health. We sincerely hope that we can depend on his valued expertise for many more years to come. Sharron and Jim Kerr.
